Ignoring the Divine Wind Bear Bill and his overflowing internal monologue, Lei Mo arrived at the Magic Beast Knights' encampment to sit at the head of the table with the various level-nine powerhouses.
According to their wishes, they dared not sit at the same high table as Lei Mo, but under his strong insistence, they could only sit down trembling, their hearts filled with trepidation.
Lei Mo was not the type of person to turn his back on others just because he had achieved a breakthrough; they had all been equals before, and he had never treated them differently just because he was a newcomer. Now that he had reached the Saint Realm, he naturally still held them in high regard, and there was no sense of being high and mighty.
"I know you all don't know me very well, after all, I haven't been in the Knights for long, but I think very highly of everyone here."
Lei Mo spoke first; there was no helping it, regardless of his attitude, strength determined status.
"Everyone here is a veteran level-nine powerhouse. My breakthrough in this battle was significant; I went straight from level eight to level nine, and after a little cultivation, I reached the Saint Realm. You could say my progress in strength outpaced my progress in insight," Lei Mo said sincerely.
"You are too modest, my lord!" everyone chimed in with flattery.
"I am being serious! I am now urgently looking to understand the situation regarding Saint Realm powerhouses or those of even higher levels within our kingdom, our alliance, and even the entire continent. Although I have broken through the shackles and no longer face the pressure of a limited lifespan, the strong always remain strong, and no one would refuse further progress in strength!"
Lei Mo spoke very plainly, and this time, there was no empty flattery; they began to share what they knew.
"My lord, our Keaton Kingdom was founded by the Saint Realm powerhouse Tagore Keaton and has existed for thousands of years. As far as I know, we only have two Saint Realm powerhouses in Keaton, and the other is our commander, John Keaton!"
A man with a rugged face and an innocent look spoke up first.
Lei Mo knew this man: the level-nine powerhouse Dean Popov. He possessed a peak level-eight Saber-toothed Tiger and, while he lacked guile, he was quite observant.
"My lord, not every kingdom in the Seti Alliance has a Saint Realm powerhouse. The other core kingdom, Aragon, has three, though the royal family only has two. Other kingdoms, at least on the surface, have no Saint Realm powerhouses, though there are plenty at the peak of level nine."
This level-nine powerhouse was named Nicole Harrington. He was over 1.8 meters tall but weighed less than fifty kilograms, giving him a gaunt appearance.
His magic beast was a peak level-seven Thunder Hawk. Although it was only level seven, its lightning magic and exceptional flight speed made it even more troublesome than most level-eight magic beasts.
Lei Mo turned his gaze toward a heroic-looking, dignified middle-aged man.
This was the royal family's level-nine powerhouse, Larson Keaton. He had originally been from a distant branch of the royal family, but he was now listed in the direct royal genealogy and held a very high status.
"Viscount Franklin, the records of the Keaton royal family regarding the powerhouses of the Seraph Continent do indeed mention existences beyond the Saint Realm, but these individuals have long since ceased to concern themselves with worldly affairs."
"For example, Queen Seraph abandoned her throne countless years ago, as well as her ambition to unify the continent, to focus solely on pursuing breakthroughs in strength. We are all powerhouses, so we can understand that kind of pursuit."
"Faced with the choice between power and strength, I believe we would all choose strength; it is the foundation of everything. Queen Seraph is from an era too long ago, and most of the remaining powerhouses are only suspected to be above the Saint Realm. I will compile the specific data and hand it to you, Viscount."
Larson Keaton spoke in one breath, truly giving Lei Mo what he wanted. The heritage of the royal family was indeed far more profound than that of an ordinary powerhouse fighting alone.
The others remained silent, and Lei Mo did not ask further.
"Thank you all for sharing. I shall also share some of my own insights on cultivation!"
Lei Mo prepared to activate his "transmigrator orator" mode.
"At the level-nine stage, we can no longer simply pursue the quantity of battle qi. With the same amount of battle qi, a Saint Realm powerhouse can easily kill us. Why is that?"
Everyone focused their attention and pricked up their ears, even Larson.
In thousands of years, the Keaton family had only produced two Saint Realm powerhouses. Larson rarely ever saw one, and while he might have had access to cultivation notes, insights shared directly by a Saint Realm powerhouse were incredibly precious.
"If we want to improve, we must gain insights into the Laws of Heaven and Earth. However, as everyone knows, these laws are obscure and hidden; they are not as obvious as the elements of heaven and earth."
Lei Mo spoke at a measured pace.
"I have divided the Laws of Heaven and Earth into eight types based on elemental categories. Seven of these are relatively easier laws; they are manifestations of heaven and earth, at least in that the elements they represent are visible everywhere."
"For example, the fire element corresponds to the Fire Law, the earth element to the Earth Law, and so on. There are also water, wind, lightning, light, and darkness—seven types in total."
"These laws correspond to the common elements of heaven and earth. Although I have not cultivated these specific laws, some of my experiences have given me an understanding of them. We must seek insights purposefully according to our own battle qi attributes; it is much easier that way. I am an example of this."
"What I cultivate is something less obvious in heaven and earth. I have named it a 'Rule' to distinguish it from the seven elemental laws. I call it the Law of Destruction. My comprehension relies mainly on combat and tempering, which is the main reason I joined the Keaton Kingdom."
Given Lei Mo's current status, he could afford to be truthful, and it would not change anything.
Compared to being a bloodthirsty maniac, everyone was actually more willing to accept someone who fought and killed for the sake of cultivation.
"As for whether there are more Rules and Laws? I believe there must be, but I am simply unable to perceive them," Lei Mo concluded.
The powerhouses' eyes shone with excitement. Although Lei Mo had not provided specific methods for comprehension, this directional guidance was vital for those who had been cultivating by trial and error. It was far more precious than mere cultivation experience.
Everyone's cultivation path was different; even within the same law, there were different mysteries, and even within the same mystery, there were different entry points. This kind of foundational knowledge was the most important of all.
Having exchanged knowledge with the others, Lei Mo returned to his residence feeling lighthearted.
Following Lei Mo's breakthrough and the chaos he had caused on the battlefield, the large-scale engagement could no longer continue.
The Lombardy Alliance had suffered heavy losses trying to surround and kill Lei Mo, and now, unsure of the situation, they could only slowly retreat to their previously controlled territories.
On the side of the Seti Alliance, because of Lei Mo's breakthrough, they did not want to complicate matters further and maintained their restraint. This mutual understanding directly led to a ceasefire between the two major alliances near the Brest Fortress.
As for a total cessation of hostilities, that was impossible; the blood feud between them was already too deep.
