"Mikoto, you must take this to heart and pay more attention to him in your daily life."
Mikoto Uchiha looked somewhat impatient: "Just him? What about the other two?"
Fugaku Uchiha replied as if it were a matter of course: "Pay some attention to that girl, Kurenai Yuhi, as well. Although the Yuhi clan isn't a major family, her father, Shinku Yuhi, has decent strength and carries weight among the jonin."
"As for the other one... what was his name? Nebula?"
Mikoto Uchiha: "Nebula Kotetsu."
Fugaku Uchiha: "Right, Nebula Kotetsu."
"Just handle it however you see fit."
Mikoto Uchiha looked at her husband helplessly; he always seemed to be like this, with his mind filled only with the clan, the political situation, and influence.
Sometimes, she felt that he lacked a certain warmth.
Suppressing these complicated feelings, Mikoto Uchiha said softly: "Alright, stop thinking about it. Leave tomorrow's worries for tomorrow; get some good rest today. Go take a bath."
Fugaku Uchiha's movements as he took off his coat stiffened.
"Ahem~ I won't wash today; I'm too tired."
"Just go wash; it doesn't take much effort."
"That... this... let's just forget it." Fugaku Uchiha stammered: "I'll wash tomorrow."
"Aren't you going out tomorrow?"
"Then I'll wash while I'm out." Fugaku Uchiha feigned ignorance, then draped his half-removed coat back over his shoulders.
"I'm going to go check on our son. Itachi is really something; he's how old now, and he still keeps pestering me to sleep with his father."
As he spoke, the man lowered his head.
With a "puff," he blew out the candle flame.
The vapor from the candle wax struggled for two seconds before being completely extinguished.
"Get to sleep early."
"Bang~"
"Faster!"
"Use force! Put some strength into your legs!"
"Did you not eat breakfast!"
At the Uchiha training ground, Nebula Kotetsu and the other two were surrounding Mikoto Uchiha.
Today, Mikoto Uchiha was not wearing her Konoha ninja uniform, but rather simple, casual home attire.
A cool short-sleeved shirt, and athletic pants that hugged her long, straight legs.
She wore breathable athletic sandals, with a few pearls embedded in the open front.
Her composure and agility left the three of them struggling to cope, and as they gasped for air, each of them was drenched in sweat.
"A ninja's physical fitness is the foundation of their combat power."
"On the battlefield, good physical stamina and excellent reaction speed are the guarantees of your survival!"
"Asuma, Nebula, as the two of you who shoulder the primary attack tasks in the team, you must possess quick reaction speeds and high-level taijutsu."
"Only then can you maintain your combat effectiveness when encountering unexpected situations and not be easily taken out!"
"Kurenai! Even though you are considered a support-type ninja, your reaction speed must also be improved!"
"Otherwise, you will become the team's weak point."
"Teacher Mikoto, I... I will work hard!" Kurenai Yuhi replied intermittently.
Ten minutes later, Kurenai Yuhi had exhausted her stamina and was forced to withdraw from the fight.
Only Nebula Kotetsu and Asuma Sarutobi remained, struggling to hold on.
"That's enough, let's stop here and take a break."
Mikoto Uchiha ceased her movements.
Asuma Sarutobi, who had been forcing himself to stay standing so as not to lose face in front of Kurenai Yuhi, felt as if he had been granted amnesty and collapsed to the ground without any regard for his image, desperately gulping down the oxygen in the air.
Nebula Kotetsu was much the same; although his taijutsu and endurance were slightly better than Asuma Sarutobi's, Mikoto Uchiha had adjusted her intensity based on their individual strengths, so the result was no different.
Looking at Mikoto Uchiha, who seemed to still have energy to spare, Nebula Kotetsu couldn't help but mutter to himself.
Is this woman crazy?
How is her training style today so different from yesterday? Could it be that she was just pretending before, and she's actually a violent woman?
Kurenai Yuhi and Asuma Sarutobi were thinking much the same thing.
They had all noticed that today, Mikoto Uchiha seemed to be exceptionally irritable.
The group took a sip of water to rest, but within minutes, Mikoto Uchiha clapped her hands together: "Alright, let's go again!"
"Huh? Sensei Mikoto, again?" Asuma Sarutobi groaned miserably.
"Let us rest a little longer."
Mikoto Uchiha spoke sharply: "Do you think the enemy on the battlefield will grant you extra time to rest?"
Asuma Sarutobi was left speechless.
Seeing this, Mikoto Uchiha took a step back: "How about this, you come at me one by one."
"That way, the other two can have a longer break."
"Who is first?"
Asuma Sarutobi and Kurenai Yuhi were taken aback.
Who is first?
Themselves? No, they were too exhausted.
Let the others go? That seemed a bit difficult to say out loud.
"I'll go." Nebula Kotetsu stepped forward.
His chakra was more abundant than the other two, and he recovered faster as well.
Standing before Mikoto Uchiha, he put on his gloves and checked them for any tears to ensure they wouldn't break mid-fight. Once confirmed, he assumed his stance.
"Sensei Mikoto, I am ready."
Watching Nebula Kotetsu put on his gloves, Mikoto Uchiha suddenly recalled the moment during their previous sparring session when she had locked his hands. The unforgettable memory stirred once more, and she couldn't help but clench her fists.
For some reason, the irritation in her heart grew even more intense.
Whoosh. Pushing off the ground, she lunged forward. Like a nimble leopard, she closed the distance to Nebula Kotetsu and unleashed a flurry of strikes.
"Bang, bang, bang, bang!!!!!"
The sound of their battle echoed through the air.
Mikoto Uchiha knew that Nebula Kotetsu's strikes were heavier and his combat prowess stronger than Asuma Sarutobi's. Although it was still far from enough to let her vent her frustrations completely, at least she could let loose more than she had just moments ago.
Under the immense pressure, Nebula Kotetsu was left scrambling, struggling to keep up.
Kurenai Yuhi, resting not far away, watched the scene. She was surprised that the combat seemed even more intense than it had been with Asuma Sarutobi, but she also felt a pang of sympathy.
As teammates in the same squad, it didn't seem right for their teacher to go berserk and force one person to bear all the pressure alone.
Unfortunately, her own close-quarters combat skills were too poor; she couldn't even take over to endure Mikoto Uchiha's onslaught, so she looked toward Asuma Sarutobi.
"Asuma."
"How is your rest? Do you want to swap out Nebula? I don't think he can hold on much longer."
Asuma Sarutobi, lying in the shade of a tree without a care for his image, didn't even lift his head as he replied: "Why bother with him?"
"Kurenai, let's just focus on our own rest."
"When it's time to switch, Sensei Mikoto will tell us."
Kurenai Yuhi was not satisfied with Asuma Sarutobi's answer; in fact, she felt a faint sense of disappointment.
His perspective was too narrow.
Back when they were at the Ninja Academy, she hadn't thought much of it. In her eyes, although Asuma Sarutobi was a bit stubborn and liked to show off in front of her, he was generally a decent person.
But in the few short days since their squad was formed, she felt she had seen another side of him.
He was short-tempered, prone to anger, and lacked a sense of unity.
She understood why he ostracized Nebula Kotetsu, but regardless, he was their teammate now. She could not condone the way Asuma Sarutobi treated his own team.
By comparison, her attitude toward Nebula Kotetsu had changed significantly.
