Arc 90The Variegated Core

Lu Ye strengthened himself, traded Bifu for Dao Bones, and enlisted You Die to enter the Ruins and refine Variegated’s core. He took control of the core, but could not yet command Variegated, and ended up teleporting into a losing Human Race battle to attack the enemy rear with his Clone.

  • Lu Ye escaped Variegated, fought Insect and Blood Race cultivators, and evaded both Human Race and You Die’s attempts to capture him before returning to the Ruins.
  • Lu Ye exploited the Medicine Garden’s fruits, Starry Fruits, and Dao Comprehension Tea leaves to strengthen himself, while the Talent Tree burned away his oath’s constraints.
  • Lu Ye traded Bifu to the Battle Alliance for Dao Bones, trained until his strength reached one hundred and sixty strands, and prepared to leave Variegated with You Die.
  • Lu Ye carried You Die’s Soul Body into the Ruins, where she began refining the Variegated core while the Human Race Alliance launched an offensive against the Insect and Blood Races.
  • When the core began draining You Die, Lu Ye used their connection to supply his Dao Power, then replaced her imprint on the core after the Ruins expelled her.
  • Lu Ye exposed Nine Infants’ scheme and burned away its spiritual consciousness, but found himself too weak to control Variegated despite possessing its core.
  • Lu Ye found a Bifu for Yan Xiaowu’s group, then used the core to teleport to a distant battlefield where the Human Race was losing.
  • Lu Ye summoned his Talent Tree Clone and charged into the Insect and Blood Races’ rear ranks, killing enemies and collecting their Dao Bones.
Chapters 2229–2253 Vol. 23 Read

Ch. 2229I'm Very Angry

Lu Ye killed Li Qi in the Insect Nest, angering You Die, then set out for the Ruins to investigate what Nine Infants had told him. You Die could not stop him because of their Life Chain, but she cleared his path by warning the Insect and Blood Races to avoid him.

  • Lu Ye agreed to let You Die use the Talent Tree’s Annihilating Flame Power on her Soul Body after he returned.
  • Li Qi arrived to escort Lu Ye to the Ruins, and Lu Ye suddenly killed him and took his Dao Soldier.
  • You Die became furious, but Lu Ye argued that killing him would also cost her life because of their Life Chain.
  • Lu Ye left for the Ruins with Li Qi’s Stone Worm, while You Die let him go because she believed he could not escape her control.
  • Lu Ye killed Insect and Blood Race cultivators as he crossed the Insect Nest, so You Die warned others to stay out of his way.

Ch. 2230Revisiting the Ruins

Lu Ye returned to the Ruins to pursue another goal, found the halls empty of trials, and recovered a Bifu from the Blood Race cultivator’s corpse. He encountered Yan Hong and Huang Zhihuan in the deepest hall, where Huang Zhihuan recognized Lu Ye’s name and asked if he had created the Shared Breath, Connected Branches Dao Pattern.

  • Lu Ye entered the Ruins again and learned from Nine Infants that its awakening had disabled the trials and that the trial figures could not be summoned for more Dao power.
  • Lu Ye searched the dead Blood Race cultivator and found a Bifu containing three corpses, then asked Nine Infants about refining the Variegated Dao Soldier.
  • Nine Infants warned Lu Ye that he would need to reach Merging Dao Peak to refine Variegated, and Lu Ye asked whether another cultivator could refine it and transfer it to him.
  • Lu Ye asked Nine Infants for directions and headed toward a door in the hall, but Yan Hong and Huang Zhihuan entered through it.
  • Yan Hong reunited with Lu Ye and introduced him to Huang Zhihuan, who asked whether Lu Ye had created the Shared Breath, Connected Branches Dao Pattern.

Ch. 2231Nine Infants' Medicine Garden

Lu Ye faced Huang Zhihuan and Yan Hong after they found him in the Ruins, then continued deeper after they left. He arrived at Nine Infants' Medicine Garden, where he discovered a Starry Tree and the resources Nine Infants had prepared for its revival.

  • Huang Zhihuan recognized Lu Ye and attacked, but Lu Ye easily blocked his strikes and knocked him back.
  • Huang Zhihuan fled, while Yan Hong stayed and accepted Lu Ye's assurance that he would not betray the Human Race.
  • Yan Hong asked whether Lu Ye had found a way to leave Variegated, and Lu Ye told him there was no such path in the great hall.
  • Yan Hong departed, and Lu Ye realized that returning to Human Race territory would expose him to suspicion and danger.
  • Lu Ye followed the passage to a Teleportation Array and arrived in Nine Infants' Medicine Garden.
  • Lu Ye found a Starry Tree and learned that Nine Infants had once transplanted five or six, along with preparing the garden's resources for its revival.

Ch. 2232I'll Really Hit You

Lu Ye explored Nine Infants' Medicine Garden, eating its Spiritual Fruits and discovering a timid but overwhelmingly powerful Spirit Plant in human form. He identified her true body as a Dao Comprehension Tea Tree, which was still hiding in plain sight as he approached.

  • Lu Ye ate the Jade Dao Fruits and other Spiritual Fruits while Nine Infants complained that he was wasting the garden's treasures.
  • Lu Ye encountered a timid green-haired girl, who attacked him several times with enough force to injure him before fleeing.
  • Lu Ye recovered and continued gathering fruit, staying alert in case the girl returned.
  • Lu Ye noticed a leaf-covered tree curl inward as he approached, and Nine Infants recognized it as a Dao Comprehension Tea Tree.
  • Lu Ye realized the tree was the girl's true body and that she had been hiding there all along.

Ch. 2233The Tea Tree for Free

Lu Ye harvested resources from the Medicine Garden and used Enlightenment Tea to help temper his Dao Bones beneath the Starry Tree. He left with his strength increased to one hundred and fifteen Dao, while five Starry Fruits remained unused.

  • Nine Infants explained that the Dao Comprehension Tea Tree’s leaves improved breakthroughs and cultivation, and Lu Ye frightened the timid tree into dropping more than a dozen leaves.
  • Lu Ye ate the Medicine Garden’s edible fruits and rare plants, filling the Talent Tree with Dao power as it continued burning away the oath’s constraints.
  • Beneath the Starry Tree, Lu Ye refined Li Qi’s Dao Soldier into Dao power and examined the intricate, varying patterns on the Enlightenment Tea leaves.
  • Lu Ye chewed an Enlightenment Tea leaf and tempered his Dao Bones, increasing his strength by fifteen Dao to one hundred and fifteen Dao.
  • Lu Ye left the five Starry Fruits unconsumed, deciding that increasing his strength as quickly as possible was more important.

Ch. 2234Leaving

After consuming the Starry Fruits, Lu Ye sealed the route to the Medicine Garden and opened the hidden passage out of Variegated. He escaped into the Star Abyss, but stayed near Variegated to find a way to refine the Dao Soldier and resolve his connection to You Die.

  • Lu Ye consumed the five Starry Fruits, gained three Dao Powers, and found that the Dao Comprehension Tea Tree had hidden herself.
  • Following Nine Infants' instructions, Lu Ye closed the gate to the Medicine Garden and opened the passage leading out of Variegated.
  • Lu Ye crossed the dangerous spatial passage and emerged from Variegated into the Star Abyss.
  • You Die sensed that Lu Ye was beyond her usual perception and wounded herself twice, but the Life Chain did not transfer either injury to him.
  • Lu Ye drifted alongside Variegated instead of leaving, intending to refine the Dao Soldier and settle his troubles with You Die.
  • Lu Ye realized he had lost the recorded route to the Star Abyss Gate leading back to the starry sky.

Ch. 2235Kill a Pair of Enemies

Lu Ye killed two cultivators who attacked him for his Human Race identity, receiving Star Abyss Blessings that strengthened his body but brought harmful abnormalities. He returned to Variegated in a war zone near a Human Race Battle Star, while You Die sensed his return and ordered the Stone Worms to retrieve him.

  • Two cultivators approached Lu Ye, and the pink ball attacked, saying they could take him for Bone Cultivation.
  • Lu Ye cut off the pink ball’s tentacle, then killed it and the Thousand Eyes Race cultivator as they fought back.
  • Lu Ye received two Star Abyss Blessings and realized they strengthened his body while forcing the Talent Tree to burn away harmful abnormalities.
  • Lu Ye collected the spoils, changed his appearance with the Thousand Faces Spirit Pattern, and returned to Variegated near a Human Race Battle Star.
  • You Die sensed Lu Ye’s return and sent a message through the Stone Worms to bring him back quickly.
  • Lu Ye headed to Shaochong War Star to register for a new identity and obtain an Alliance Guard Token.

Ch. 2236Exposed

After registering under an assumed identity on Shaochong War Star, Lu Ye was exposed by a secret record linked to his Alliance Guard Token. Yan Hai pursued him through space, leaving Lu Ye fleeing with his plans to reach Ziying in ruins.

  • Lu Ye registered as Li Taibai, obtained an Alliance Guard Token, and decided to travel to Yellow Springs War Star to seek out Ziying.
  • On the Human Race Alliance’s main star, two elders noticed Lu Ye’s record react and ordered his capture after learning that the Insect and Blood Races had targeted him.
  • Yan Hai ordered everyone on Shaochong War Star to remain in place, and the steward who had registered Lu Ye identified him.
  • Yan Hai demanded that Lu Ye surrender and return to the main star, but Lu Ye denied being Lu Ye before fleeing into the sky.
  • Yan Hai pursued Lu Ye through space but struggled to catch him, while Lu Ye considered whether he would have to return to You Die.

Ch. 2237Chase Me Again, and I'll Kill You

Lu Ye escaped Yan Hai and killed the Blood Race Merging Dao cultivator sent by You Die to retrieve him, deepening confusion over whether he was a Hidden Agent. After hiding in another war zone and keeping his Waist Token concealed, he sensed two Merging Dao cultivators searching nearby and heard one challenge Zhong Pu.

  • Yan Hai ordered Alliance Guards to intercept Lu Ye, but Lu Ye charged through them without killing anyone.
  • A Blood Race Merging Dao cultivator arrived on You Die's orders to bring Lu Ye back, and Lu Ye changed course and entered his Blood Sea.
  • Lu Ye burst out of the Blood Sea and killed the Blood Race cultivator, earning a Star Abyss Blessing, then warned Yan Hai to stop chasing him and fled using three forms.
  • Yan Hai recognized Lu Ye as a powerful Merging Dao cultivator, pursued a Treasure Blood Clone, and watched it vanish; reports of the encounter caused an uproar on the home star.
  • You Die learned that Lu Ye had killed the Blood Race cultivator and faced demands for an explanation, while Lu Ye used an Insect Path to reach another war zone and hid his Waist Token in the Little Flower Realm.
  • Two Merging Dao cultivators searched the area where Lu Ye was hiding, and one called out to Zhong Pu, asking why he had left his territory.

Ch. 2238You Die's Claw

Lu Ye was forced out of hiding by Zhong Pu and joined the Human Race guardian in attacking him. The chapter ended with Zhong Pu fleeing into a Blood Sea that swallowed all three cultivators.

  • Zhong Pu and the Human Race Merging Dao guardian fought across the region, and their battle forced Lu Ye out of a shattered star.
  • Lu Ye recognized that You Die had sent Zhong Pu to find him and charged into the fight, striking at Zhong Pu instead of the Human Race guardian.
  • Zhong Pu and the guardian each recognized Lu Ye and were shocked by his strength and apparent Dao Entry cultivation.
  • Lu Ye and the Human Race guardian attacked Zhong Pu together, and Lu Ye wounded him despite You Die's threat to die if Lu Ye did not stop.
  • Zhong Pu knocked Lu Ye back and tried to flee, but a red light spread into a Blood Sea and swallowed Lu Ye, Zhong Pu, and the guardian.

Ch. 2239Overturning the Table

Lu Ye’s attempt to evade You Die ended when she injured herself through their Life Chain, exposing him and forcing him to abandon his plans. Seeking a safer route back to her, he found a hidden entrance to the Ruins, where an old Human Race cultivator recognized him through stories from a girl he knew.

  • After Lu Ye and a Human Race Merging Dao cultivator killed Zhong Pu, Lu Ye urged the man to seize the chance to attack the star and then left.
  • While Lu Ye hid in another war zone, You Die injured herself and made him suffer through their Life Chain, exposing his location to an Insect Race Merging Dao cultivator.
  • Lu Ye chased the Insect Race cultivator but could not catch him, and then decided to return to You Die rather than risk further pursuit.
  • Lu Ye followed his Star Map to a Forbidden Land on a Barren Star and discovered a concealed entrance to the Ruins.
  • An old Human Race Merging Dao cultivator recognized Lu Ye despite his altered appearance and said he had heard of him from an outstanding little girl.

Ch. 2240Stance

Lu Ye spoke with the old man guarding the ruins, then returned inside and met Yan Hong, who brought him the Yan Family’s accumulated Dao Bones. Lu Ye concealed the ruins’ secrets, exchanged communication marks with Yan Hong, and left him preparing to advance to Fusion Dao.

  • Lu Ye learned that Ziying had worried about him and warned him not to return until the Human Race Alliance trusted him, since Waist Token records could reveal his identity.
  • Lu Ye entered the ruins and found Yan Hong waiting for him; Yan Hong said Huang Zhihuan was in seclusion preparing to advance to Fusion Dao.
  • Yan Hong gave Lu Ye several months’ worth of Dao Bones from the Yan Family and asked whether he had discovered anything unusual in the ruins.
  • Lu Ye said there was no way to leave Variegated through the ruins, while withholding the secrets he had found; Yan Hong accepted his answer without pressing him.
  • Lu Ye and Yan Hong exchanged Waist Token communication marks, and Lu Ye urged Yan Hong to prepare for Fusion Dao before they parted.
  • After leaving the ruins, Yan Hong learned that Lu Ye had become a Fusion Dao cultivator and killed Fusion Dao cultivators of the Insect and Blood Races, and he was stunned.

Ch. 2241Do You Want to Leave Variegated?

Lu Ye returned to Yinshuo War Star and endured You Die’s punishment after she suspected he had tried to escape. He hinted that he knew how to leave Variegated, and You Die realized he was telling the truth, though he did not reveal the method.

  • An Insect Race Merging Dao cultivator brought Lu Ye back to Yinshuo War Star, where Lu Ye sensed that the Talent Tree was burning away accumulated abnormalities.
  • You Die pulled Lu Ye into their reincarnation illusion and beat him after accusing him of trying to leave her.
  • Lu Ye spent several days trapped in the thatched hut while You Die ignored him, then asked whether she wanted to leave Variegated.
  • You Die appeared immediately, and Lu Ye teased her by refusing to say whether he knew how to leave.
  • Lu Ye accidentally revealed through the Life Chain that he knew the way out, and You Die decided not to press him yet.

Ch. 2242Strange and Bizarre

Lu Ye discovered that his latest Star Abyss Blessing let him draw Dao Fish from a distant, distorted world and convert them into Dao Power, though the experience unsettled both him and You Die. After tempering more Dao Bones, he reached the strength of one hundred and twenty-one Dao, and You Die reminded him of a forgotten promise involving fire.

  • Lu Ye absorbed the Dao Power from Yan Hong's Dao Bones and examined the strange blessing within him.
  • Lu Ye activated the blessing with Dao Power, drawing in Dao Fish that transformed into more than two thousand Dao Power while making his surroundings seem like another world.
  • You Die called Lu Ye back from the strange experience and said it had seemed as if he had vanished into a distant world.
  • Lu Ye spent his accumulated Dao Power tempering Dao Bones and increased his strength from one hundred and eighteen Dao to one hundred and twenty-one Dao.
  • You Die repeatedly interrupted Lu Ye and reminded him that he had promised her something about fire.

Ch. 2243Seeing Off a Guest

Lu Ye used the Talent Tree’s Annihilating Flame Power to temper You Die’s Soul Body, then negotiated a price of eighty Dao Bones per breath for future sessions. He kept Bifu’s location from her and revealed that a fragment of Nine Infants’ consciousness had survived, leaving it hidden from You Die.

  • You Die reminded Lu Ye of his promise to burn her with the divine flames, and Lu Ye briefly used the Talent Tree’s power to temper her Soul Body.
  • Lu Ye refused to continue unless You Die paid for more, and they agreed on eighty Dao Bones per breath.
  • You Die asked about Bifu, and Lu Ye said it was not with him, concealing that he had left it in the Medicine Garden.
  • Lu Ye summoned the surviving fragment of Nine Infants’ spiritual consciousness, which checked that You Die was gone.

Ch. 2244The Yan Family Can't Swallow It

Lu Ye used Nine Infants to locate the scattered Bifu and offered to trade them to the Battle Alliance. Yan Hong and Yan Yong learned he could provide ten, and Lu Ye began considering what price to ask.

  • Lu Ye asked Nine Infants to locate the Bifu, and Nine Infants borrowed his body to sense their positions.
  • Lu Ye marked the Bifu locations on a Star Map and contacted Yan Hong to propose a deal with the Battle Alliance.
  • Yan Hong consulted Yan Yong, who initially thought the Yan Family could buy the Bifu itself.
  • Yan Hong told Yan Yong that Lu Ye could provide ten Bifu, leaving Yan Yong stunned.
  • Lu Ye considered the Bifu's value and sent Yan Hong a proposed price.

Ch. 2245Transaction

Lu Ye traded a buried Bifu to the Yan Family for two thousand Dao Bones and persuaded Nine Infants to teach him Dao Artifact forging. After learning that the other major families offered only eighteen hundred Dao Bones per Bifu, Lu Ye was left facing a lower price for future trades.

  • Yan Yong and Yan Hong questioned Lu Ye’s demand, then followed his directions and found a Bifu buried deep underground.
  • Lu Ye asked Nine Infants about Dao Artifacts and convinced it to teach him how to forge them.
  • Yan Hong accepted Lu Ye’s offer of two thousand Dao Bones for the Bifu, and Lu Ye agreed to trade all at once.
  • After You Die gave Lu Ye a Stone Worm, he met Yan Hong and Yan Xiaowu in the Ruins and received the two thousand Dao Bones.
  • Yan Hong told Lu Ye that the major families were interested in Bifu but had set their offer at only eighteen hundred Dao Bones each.

Ch. 2246The Time Has Come

Lu Ye traded Bifu locations to the Human Race Alliance while secretly growing stronger and improving his artifact-refining skills. After a year of preparation, he asked You Die whether she wanted to leave Variegated, leaving her excited by the possibility.

  • Lu Ye accepted Yan Hong’s offer of eighteen hundred Dao Bones for a Bifu and marked another Bifu location on Yan Xiaowu’s Star Map.
  • Yan Hong asked Lu Ye whether he was Merging Dao or Entering Dao, and Lu Ye said he could be regarded as Merging Dao.
  • Lu Ye returned to You Die’s Insect Nest and refined Dao Bones, while You Die set aside four hundred for him to use with her Annihilating Flame Power.
  • Over the next year, Lu Ye raised his power to one hundred and sixty strands and traded six more Bifu to the Battle Alliance for over ten thousand Dao Bones.
  • Lu Ye reached the limit of what he could learn from Nine Infants and decided the time had come to enact his plan.
  • Lu Ye asked You Die if she wanted to leave Variegated, and she realized he had been searching for a way out.

Ch. 2247You Die Enters the Ruins

Lu Ye brought You Die’s Soul Body into the Ruins, intending to use her Merging Dao Peak strength to escape Variegated and pursue his plans for refining it. As they traveled deeper into the Ruins, his message also prompted the Human Race to launch a counterattack across the Yellow Springs Great War Zone.

  • You Die realized Lu Ye needed her strength to leave Variegated, and she agreed to enter the Ruins as a Soul Body after arranging affairs in the war zone.
  • You Die transferred Lu Ye three thousand Dao Bones, and he carried her Soul Body in his sealed Divine Sea to the Sacrificial Altar.
  • Lu Ye sent Yan Xiaowu a message, prompting Ziying to persuade Yellow Springs that the Insect and Blood Races’ contracting defenses offered a chance to counterattack.
  • Yellow Springs approved the assault, and Battle Alliance Guards across the war zone attacked less than half an incense stick after Lu Ye entered the Ruins.
  • Lu Ye unsealed his Divine Sea inside the Ruins, and You Die emerged, looked around, and linked her arm through his as they set off.

Ch. 2248Dao Soldier Core

Lu Ye brought You Die to the Ruins’ second great hall, where she discovered the Dao Soldier Core and began refining Variegated with help from Nine Infants. As the refinement proceeded, the Human Race Alliance advanced against the disorganized Insect and Blood Races outside.

  • Lu Ye told You Die that the Ruins’ trials had disappeared, allowing Dao Entry cultivators to enter, and led her through the first hall to the second.
  • You Die tried and failed to break one of the two sealed doors, but Lu Ye told her the key to leaving Variegated was Nine Infants’ statue.
  • You Die shattered the statue and found the Dao Soldier Core, which she realized could let her control Variegated and leave.
  • You Die failed to refine the core alone, so Lu Ye summoned Nine Infants to help her; her power then began to refine it slowly.
  • While You Die focused on refining the core inside the Ruins, the Human Race Alliance took advantage of the chaos among the absent You Die’s forces and pushed the Insect and Blood Races back.

Ch. 2249You Die's Death Tribulation

You Die’s attempt to refine Variegated’s core turned into a deadly struggle when the core began consuming her Dao Power, and Nine Infants revealed its treachery. Lu Ye used the Talent Tree and a new power-sharing connection to replenish You Die, leaving them able to continue resisting the core’s drain.

  • You Die replenished her Dao Power with Dao Bones while refining the Variegated core, reaching halfway progress after several weeks.
  • At the halfway point, the core began devouring You Die’s Dao Power, and she could no longer stop the refinement.
  • Nine Infants claimed the danger was normal and urged Lu Ye to wait, prompting Lu Ye to seal off the Divine Sea and recognize its scheme.
  • You Die asked Lu Ye to release their Life Chain so her death would not take him with her, but he refused and began absorbing the Dao Bones with the Talent Tree.
  • Lu Ye created a new connection with You Die and sent his Dao Power into her, allowing the core to consume his power instead of draining hers.

Ch. 2250Cuckoo in the Magpie's Nest

Lu Ye helped You Die finish refining the Variegated core, then expelled her from the Ruins as part of his plan to claim it himself. With the Human Race pressing its advantage outside, Lu Ye began using their Life Chain to replace You Die’s imprint on the core.

  • Lu Ye used Twin Phoenixes Flying to replenish You Die’s Dao Force as she refined the core, and she was astonished by his immense reserves.
  • You Die completed the refinement and believed she would rule Variegated, but the Ruins expelled her to the Sacrificial Altar before she could take the core.
  • You Die learned that the Human Race had launched a major offensive while she was cut off, and she angrily ordered the defenses to respond.
  • Lu Ye revealed that expelling You Die was the second step of his plan and reached out to the core with his Dao Force.
  • Lu Ye found that the Life Chain let his Dao Force enter the core and began trying to replace You Die’s imprint.

Ch. 2251Master of Variegated

Lu Ye successfully refined the Variegated Core, severing You Die’s ownership and gaining control of the Ruins, though his limited strength restricted how much he could use it. He uncovered Nine Infants’s scheme to escape by endangering You Die and killed its remaining spiritual consciousness despite their oath, leaving him in control of Variegated.

  • Lu Ye replaced You Die’s imprint on the Variegated Core, while You Die sensed her connection fading and then being severed.
  • Lu Ye used the core to glimpse You Die, a vast battlefield, and the Human Race Alliance’s home star before the strain forced him to stop.
  • Lu Ye returned the Variegated Core to its pit and confronted Nine Infants in his Divine Sea.
  • Lu Ye accused Nine Infants of plotting to endanger You Die so that Lu Ye would die and Nine Infants could regain its freedom.
  • Nine Infants admitted it had schemed for survival and assumed their oath would protect it, but Lu Ye burned away its spiritual consciousness without being harmed.

Ch. 2252Stopping

After killing Nine Infants, Lu Ye collected Dao Comprehension Tea leaves and tried to take control of Variegated, only to find that his strength was insufficient. He entered the Giant Race's territory to replenish his Dao Power by seeking Bifu, while Yan Xiaowu and his group concealed themselves as someone approached.

  • Lu Ye visited the Medicine Garden, tricked the Dao Comprehension Tea Tree into giving him more leaves, and left her weeping and vowing to make him pay next time.
  • Lu Ye tried to collect Variegated but realized that, despite refining its core, he was too weak to control the powerful Dao Soldier.
  • Lu Ye managed to slow Variegated's drift briefly, then returned inside to replenish the Dao Power he had exhausted.
  • Lu Ye discovered that Variegated had carried him into the Giant Race's territory and learned that Yan Xiaowu's group had been unable to find the Bifu there.
  • Lu Ye traveled to Yan Xiaowu's location, where Yan Xiaowu sensed someone approaching and told his cultivators to hide.

Ch. 2253The Convenience of Being the Master of Variegated

Lu Ye used his newly gained authority as Variegated’s master to teleport to a battlefield where the Human Race was retreating, despite the heavy cost in Dao Power and mental energy. He and his Clone attacked the pursuing Insect and Blood Races from behind, turning the tide of the battle as the Human Race commander realized something had changed.

  • Lu Ye located a buried Bifu for Yan Xiaowu, who gathered his people and left to exchange it for Dao Bones.
  • Lu Ye sensed that the Human Race was losing a distant battle and discovered he could teleport within Variegated by anchoring his mind to a location.
  • Lu Ye teleported to the battlefield, spending nearly all his reserved Dao Power and arriving behind the enemy army after it had moved on.
  • Lu Ye summoned his Talent Tree Clone, gave it spare clothes, and charged with it into the Insect and Blood Races' rear ranks.
  • The Human Race commander saw the Blood Race opponent falter and regained ground as Lu Ye and his Clone killed enemies and collected their Dao Bones.
