• Lu Ye outlasted Mirage Spirit Pattern’s Rock Paper Scissors game, then kept the spirit occupied with Mahjong while Huan Qing helped reveal its true form.
• Lu Ye made Mirage Spirit Pattern swear to provide an innate Secret Technique and hidden Uniting Dao Pearls, then brought its pearl fragments back to Yuan Xi City and raised the city to Desolate-tier.

Lu Ye and Yuan Xi survived an assassination attempt, expanded Yuan Xi City, and fought rival cities to secure a poisonous Lotus Seedling and seize a Desolate-tier City. The arc ended with City Lord Zhao proposing that his city affiliate with Yuan Xi City.

• Howling Moon revealed herself as Xiaoyue and tried to kill Lu Ye, but he killed her and helped Yuan Xi destroy Xiaoyue City’s Uniting Dao Pearl.
• Yuan Xi merged the captured fragments into Yuan Xi City’s pearl, raising the city to Flood-tier, while Lu Ye warned an approaching group to keep its distance.
• Lu Ye and Yuan Xi hid their city near the Mystic Moon Ice Lotus, but Governor City’s messenger and nearby forces exposed them and triggered a series of battles.
• Lu Ye killed the Army Supervisor who had tried to seize him, while Yuan Xi City escaped and Yuan Xi later forced City Lord Zhao to release Lu Ye and accept her terms.

Lu Ye helped Yuan Xi City and Lingfeng City defeat enemy cities, while winning a Battle Arena death match that brought him vast Dao Fish and strengthened his Dao foundations. As Yuan Xi's forces entered the You Ming Cold Current Beehive, a planned ambush revealed a new threat, and Yuan Xi faced Ying Fei with her Dao Soldier's second form.

• Yuan Xi accepted Zhao Lingfeng's request for Lingfeng City to affiliate with Yuan Xi City, while Lu Ye discovered the Lotus Seedling had begun replenishing itself by eating Dao Fish.
• Lu Ye persuaded Gong Mao to arrange a Battle Arena death match against a Uniting Dao cultivator, then joined Yuan Xi City's ambush of enemy cities and helped defeat their forces alongside Lingfeng City.
• Lu Ye obtained a defensive Sub-Treasure from a defeated enemy cultivator, and the Lotus Seedling consumed Yuan Xi City's Dao Fish until Lian agreed to raise it with more.

Yuan Xi and Lu Ye survived Chang Ming’s pursuit, avenged Lingfeng City, and strengthened Yuan Xi City while Lu Ye honed his saber techniques. When Blood Calamity opened an Insect Path and unleashed a vast invasion, Lu Ye and Yuan Xi fought through the chaos and confronted the assassin Jiao.

• Yuan Xi used Lu Ye’s Dao power to sustain her second-form Dao Soldier, defeated Chang Ming’s forces, and learned that Ni Chiluan was behind the demand for her return.
• Yuan Xi and Lu Ye destroyed Ying Fei City’s Uniting Dao Pearl, then arrived as four enemy cities besieged Lingfeng City.
• Yuan Xi broke Lingfeng City’s defenses and destroyed its pearl, but Zhao Lingfeng was killed, and Yuan Xi City salvaged the fallen cities and improved its Grand Array.
