The armored figure was smashed apart, leaving behind a dim ball of fluorescence. Lu Ye sensed the aura of Dao Power within it!
The Blood Race cultivator, however, had already reached out and grabbed the fluorescence. Under Lu Ye's astonished gaze, he stuffed it straight into his mouth.
Lu Ye looked thoughtful.
Only after doing this did the Blood Race cultivator call out, "Let's go!"
He took the lead, though vigilance showed in his expression. Lu Ye quietly followed behind him.
A moment later, the Blood Race cultivator stopped, because something unusual had appeared ahead. Lu Ye watched as a bizarre figure materialized out of thin air, blocking their path.
It did not look quite like the armored figure from before. At first glance, this one resembled a leopard, an ordinary wild beast commonly found in the mountains.
Yet, like that armored figure, it possessed not the slightest trace of life.
This was undoubtedly another projection of power!
Without a word, the Blood Race cultivator stepped forward and fought the leopard. Before long, he had dealt with it. Another ball of fluorescence remained where it had stood, and as before, the Blood Race cultivator grabbed it and stuffed it into his mouth.
Lu Ye vaguely guessed that the fluorescence contained remnants of pure Dao Power. By devouring it, the Blood Race cultivator could replenish the Dao Power he had expended. As for exactly how much Dao Power remained within it, only the Blood Race cultivator himself knew.
What sort of place was this? Why were there so many strange things here?
As they proceeded, a figure would appear in the passage from time to time to bar their way. Some were humanoid, some beast-shaped, and they belonged to different races. Yet the farther they went, the stronger those figures became.
