Qian Daoliu narrowed his eyes, his presence commanding even without anger.
"If I said it really was a premonition, would you believe me?" Jiang Liang asked tentatively.
Those words made Qian Daoliu throw back his head and laugh in exasperation.
"You little brat, are you really planning to make a monkey out of me?"
"You said you could foresee Xiao Xue becoming the Angel God. I could just barely believe that."
"But the sacrifice is an absolute secret of Spirit Hall—even of the Qian Clan."
"Forget Bibi Dong. Even Ji'er didn't know about it when he was alive."
At this point, Qian Daoliu frowned slightly, as though something had occurred to him.
