The End-of-Term Test arrived as scheduled.
There was a magic theory test and a magic casting test.
In the theory test, Jiang Yuan unexpectedly scored full marks in every subject, taking first place in the grade.
During the magic casting test, Jiang Yuan did not go to school at all. He simply called Xue Musheng from home and said he had missed the test because he was in the hospital.
Meanwhile, just as in the original timeline, Mo Fan failed to control a single Fire element Star Particle, drawing plenty of ridicule.
The End-of-Term Test ended, and the holiday began.
Jiang Yuan stayed home alone, meditating on the Undead element.
In this world, he was a native-born resident of Bocheng.
However, he had no family and was an orphan.
Though he was an orphan, his parents had left him a house in an old district, along with several hundred thousand in savings.
If he had attended an ordinary school, that would have been enough for him to graduate without trouble.
But his parents clearly could not have imagined that Jiang Yuan would become a mage.
The holiday still passed in a flash.
In the blink of an eye, it was nearly time for school to start again.
Inside the room.
There were still three days until the new term began.
Jiang Yuan sat cross-legged with his eyes tightly shut.
Within his spiritual space, gray Stardust gleamed brilliantly, seven Star Particles lined up one after another.
One, two, three, four...
Until the seventh Star Particle finally struggled into its final position.
Star Track formed!
Magic appeared!
A gray radiance spread outward, and a white figure stepped forth.
It was a white skeleton wielding a machete, blue ghostfire burning silently within its eye sockets.
Jiang Yuan had yet to notice this scene.
His consciousness was still immersed in his spiritual space.
The instant the Star Track formed, he felt an Undead Space bind itself to him. The space was as large as a football field.
It was filled with the aura of the dead and utterly dim.
Jiang Yuan kept recalling what he knew about the Undead element. This branch of magic had originally been considered evil magic, forbidden magic, before later being incorporated into the magic system.
Even today, some countries still did not recognize the Undead element.
That was because the Undead element required contracts with undead. To make it stronger, one needed to sign contracts with more undead and make one's own undead stronger.
Some Undead Mages killed living beings to create undead exclusively for themselves.
That implied certain dark and unlawful acts.
From one perspective, the Undead element had much in common with the Summoning System.
One could summon undead from the Underworld to fight for oneself, or sign contracts with undead and place them in one's own Undead Space.
However, there was one major difference between undead and summoned beasts: undead were extremely difficult to kill. One could even say they were immortal and indestructible.
In fact, some international magic organizations believed that the Undead element should be incorporated into the Summoning System.
However, since the source of the Undead element was the Dark Plane and it was fundamentally different from the Summoning System, few people supported that view.
"According to the books, the Undead Space only opens at the Intermediate level. Why has it opened now?"
Jiang Yuan could not make sense of it. To contract an undead, one had to reach the Intermediate level and obtain Undead Contract magic.
There was no use in opening the Undead Space early.
Jiang Yuan pondered for a long time, but could find no answer.
Forget it. If he could not figure it out, then so be it.
It was not a big problem.
Jiang Yuan gave up thinking and opened his eyes.
The first thing he saw was a snow-white skull staring straight at him.
"**!" Jiang Yuan cursed, springing backward.
The White Skeleton Soldier watched him quietly without moving.
Only then did Jiang Yuan realize that this was the undead summoned by his Undead magic. Judging by the gleaming machete in its hand, it was even a local undead.
He had actually been frightened by the undead he himself had summoned. He had utterly embarrassed himself.
"Clack, clack..." The White Skeleton Soldier opened its mouth and made a few clacking sounds, almost as if it were mocking Jiang Yuan.
Jiang Yuan was speechless. With a wave of his hand, he sent the White Skeleton Soldier back to the Underworld.
Wolf Tribe Demons would probably love gnawing on bones.
Jiang Yuan declared that he absolutely was not doing this to erase that dark chapter of his history!
The holiday ended, and the second semester began.
The entire morning was devoted to magic practice class.
Although Jiang Yuan was a day student, he arrived at school early.
At the classroom door, a woman in uniform approached him. Her skin was fair and delicate, her figure tall and curvaceous. Many of the male students stared at her without blinking, who knew what they were thinking.
The two happened to meet at the doorway.
Jiang Yuan roughly guessed who this female teacher was.
The magic practice teacher for the second semester, Totem Black Snake Guardian Tang Yue.
"Teacher." Jiang Yuan took a step back and let Tang Yue enter the classroom first.
Seeing how considerate the male student before her was, Tang Yue smiled. "Are you a student from Class 8? What's your name?"
Jiang Yuan nodded. "Yes, Teacher. My name is Jiang Yuan."
"Then go into the classroom first." Tang Yue smiled as she entered the room.
When the students of Class 8 saw Jiang Yuan and Tang Yue enter the classroom one after the other, chatting and laughing, their eyes widened.
Was this beautiful teacher new?
How was Jiang Yuan so familiar with such a beautiful teacher?
"Damn it!" Zhang Xiaohou said fiercely.
"What is it?" Mo Fan had just sneaked into the classroom from the back and had not yet seen Tang Yue. He followed Zhang Xiaohou's gaze toward the podium, and his eyes immediately went blank.
How could there be such a beautiful teacher!
Jiang Yuan walked down from the podium and returned to his seat. Mo Fan sat diagonally behind him.
Mo Fan lowered his body and leaned over. "Jiang Yuan, what is your relationship with this beautiful teacher? Is she your sister or some relative?"
"Damn it, you bastard! You have such a beautiful sister and never told us!" Zhang Xiaohou accused him in a low voice.
Jiang Yuan glanced at the two of them and said flatly, "Don't overthink it. Listen to the lesson properly."
Neither of them could focus. They wanted to ask more questions, but the bright voice from the podium drew their attention.
"Good morning, students. Your magic practice teacher has fallen ill and been hospitalized, so I will be taking over this class. My name is Tang Yue, and I am very happy to be your magic practice teacher!"
After a brief introduction, Tang Yue quickly began teaching.
After finishing the theoretical portion, she led the students to the school's practice field to demonstrate magic.
The magic she demonstrated was the Fire element Beginner-level spell, Fire Seed.
The powerful Fire element magic drew waves of astonished cries from these students who had only just begun learning magic.
Jiang Yuan's eyes flickered. He was already a dual-element Beginner-level mage and had experienced Beginner-level magic before, but witnessing the power of a bursting ball of flame still made his heart tremble.
This was magic. This was the supernatural!
After the demonstration, Tang Yue counted the Fire element students in the class. At the same time, she said that anyone who connected all seven Star Particles could come to her for specialized guidance.
Jiang Yuan planned to tell Tang Yue that he had mastered all seven Star Particles at an appropriate time. He needed to ask her about deeper and more profound magic knowledge.
He also needed to keep working hard at meditation.
He had to strive for first place in the Annual Assessment. Only then could he qualify to use the Stardust Magic Tool.
