Background and History
Nine Nether Queen was once the empress of a human dynasty that was not recorded in history books. Her knowledge of human magic and ancient formations dates from that life. As a ghost-type undead Great Monarch, she became one of the Eight Directions Undead Lords 71 72 73 140.
When Jiang Yuan claimed the Ancient King’s armored robe, she and the other undead lords knew he was not the original Ancient King. She nevertheless accepted him as their new king. At his command, she punished Mu He for challenging his identity, then pledged to keep the undead from entering the living world while Jiang Yuan gained full command of the robe’s power 71.
She subsequently managed material collection, searches, and intelligence work for Jiang Yuan. Her assignments included gathering undead materials for his Undead Space, seeking rare advancement resources, and preparing intelligence for his campaign against the Egyptian Underworld 72 96 214. After that conquest, she led the effort to identify smaller underworlds for further expansion 223 225.
When Jiang Yuan offered the Eight Directions Undead Lords rule over the Underworld’s fifth layer, she spoke for their shared wish to remain beside him on the seventh instead 238. Later, Jiang Yuan appointed her secretary-general of the Supreme Magic Council and entrusted its organization to her 338.

She addresses Jiang Yuan as her king and follows his orders, but her manner is not uniformly solemn: she jokes with him, teases him, and takes pride in bringing him useful discoveries 72 96 140. Her loyalty is particularly clear when she and the other undead lords choose service at his side over territory of their own 238.
She favors planning and coordination over direct combat. Among the Eight Directions Undead Lords, she is noted for devising execution plans and delegating their implementation 73.
