The Great Witch's sudden report brought strange expressions to the faces of the Ancestral Witches.
"Baize went to Mount Buzhou?"
What was there at Mount Buzhou?
The Three Pure Ones.
Nuwa and Fuxi.
"What does that useless Baize want? He left the Sun Star and went to Mount Buzhou. What is he plotting?" Qiangliang waved a hand, signaling the reporting Great Witch to leave.
"Isn't it obvious? The Three Crows probably rejected him, so that useless fellow has set his sights on the Three Pure Ones."
"The Three Crows and the Three Pure Ones—what a pair of oddballs!" an Ancestral Witch said with a laugh, full of disdain.
"Could it be that Baize wants to unite all the mighty figures, including the Three Crows and the Three Pure Ones, to oppose our Witch Clan?"
Jumang spoke thoughtfully.
As soon as he said this, most of the Ancestral Witches disagreed.
"Impossible. These mighty figures aren't idiots. Why would they listen to Baize?" Zhurong said dismissively.
"Exactly. Across the entire Primordial World, who would be so blind as to dare oppose our Witch Clan?" Gonggong chimed in, utterly brazen.
The Ancestral Witches argued heatedly, each giving his own opinion.
A little while later, when Dijiang saw that the discussion had run its course, he slowly spoke.
"Whatever the outcome, I don't think we can let this trend continue. Every mighty figure in the Primordial World must know that anyone who opposes the Ancestral Witches will meet a bad end."
As Dijiang's words fell,
the Ancestral Witches fell silent, their eyes all turning to him.
"Big Brother, do you mean... we should attack the Three Pure Ones or the Three Crows, so that all the mighty figures know they'll face our wrath if they casually associate with the Ten Thousand Races?"
Zhurong's eyes lit up as he grasped Dijiang's meaning.
"I think that's a fine idea. We should dampen the arrogance of these mighty figures and make them understand that helping a bunch of good-for-nothings like Baize is the same as opposing our Witch Clan."
Qiangliang bellowed, domineering to the extreme—the sort of person who'd pick a fight with you just for looking at him.
Most of the Ancestral Witches thought this perfectly normal. They had always been like this, accustomed to throwing their weight around.
"Then it's settled. Who should we strike first, the Three Crows or the Three Pure Ones?" one Ancestral Witch asked impatiently, eager for action, the violence stirring in him.
"Of course, the Three Pure Ones. Baize went to see them because the Three Crows rejected him. That shows the Three Crows know their place and wouldn't dare oppose our Witch Clan. Since that's the case, there's no need to make them our target."
Xuanming spoke with a smile, her gaze bright.
"Exactly. In my view, more importantly, the Three Crows pose less of a threat than the Three Pure Ones. We'll make the Three Pure Ones our target this time."
Zhu Jiuyin said calmly.
The Ancestral Witches nodded repeatedly, agreeing that Zhu Jiuyin made sense. They had never even seen the so-called Three Crows; most likely, they were just an invention.
The Three Pure Ones were different. They had dealt with them more than once over the past countless eons, and knew that they were not to be underestimated.
And so, all the Ancestral Witches except Dijiang agreed to attack the Three Pure Ones.
Seeing that the discussion had run its course, Dijiang spoke:
"Making the Three Pure Ones our target is the right choice, but there's another important reason."
"For a long time, the Three Pure Ones have flaunted their title as Pangu's Orthodox Lineage and deceived others, yet they never worship Father God. Their intentions are deserving of death."
"This time, we'll strike the Three Pure Ones hard. If possible, we should kill them."
"This concerns not only the title of Pangu's Orthodox Lineage but also the Witch Clan's fortune."
Dijiang spoke with a solemn expression, his resolve plain to see.
At these words, the Ancestral Witches all froze for a moment. Houtu was the first to object:
"Elder Brother, the Three Pure Ones were formed from Father God's primordial spirit. Wouldn't it be wrong to kill them?"
"For that very reason, we must do it. Laozi, Yuanshi, and Tongtian are Father God's primordial spirit, while we Ancestral Witches represent Father God's flesh. Killing them might make up for our innate deficiencies."
Dijiang spoke, a startling glint in his eyes.
As his words fell, the Ancestral Witches wore strange expressions, finding his reasoning rather persuasive.
"I agree with Big Brother. Even if we can't kill the Three Pure Ones, we must strip them of the title of Pangu's Orthodox Lineage."
Zhu Jiuyin spoke coldly, without mercy or hesitation.
The Primordial World had been formed from Father God. Pangu's Orthodox Lineage was no mere title; it represented the legacy and fortune Pangu had left behind.
If they could seize the Three Pure Ones' fortune, perhaps the Witch Clan would undergo an incredible transformation.
"Then let's do it. We were going to expand our territory anyway, so we might as well take the Three Pure Ones' land while we're at it."
Xuanming said with a smile, though her gaze was cold.
The Ancestral Witches nodded in agreement.
"Let's go, then!"
Halfway up Mount Buzhou.
East Kunlun, Three Pure Ones Hall.
Laozi, Yuanshi, and Tongtian stood together, their bodies radiating an enigmatic aura. On closer inspection, it even carried something of Pangu's essence.
Laozi, with his white beard and eyebrows, held a Flat Pole in his hand, flames leaping and flowing with brilliant light.
Yuanshi, dignified and imposing, held the Three Treasures Jade Ruyi in his hands, its apricot-yellow glow swirling around him.
Tongtian, resolute and proud, held the Green Duckweed Sword, its hazy aura humming.
The Flat Pole, Jade Ruyi, and Green Duckweed Sword had all been transformed from the Chaos Green Lotus.
They had come across this fortuitous opportunity while traveling through Mount Buzhou. Apart from the Gourd, these were the only treasures they had to show for themselves.
A little while later, the Three Pure Ones slowly opened their eyes, a flash of joy passing over their faces.
After cultivating diligently for some time, their cultivation had advanced again. Laozi in particular, as the eldest of the Three Pure Ones, was already close to reaching the peak of the Daluo Golden Immortal realm.
By the time the Dao Ancestor preached again, reaching perfection in the Daluo Golden Immortal Way would be within reach.
"In the Primordial World today, I doubt any mighty figure has cultivation higher than the three of us brothers."
Tongtian spoke, unable to hide his delight.
"Exactly. The ridiculous thing is that people say those three Golden Crows on the Sun Star are our equals. Putting the Three Crows alongside the Three Pure Ones is an utter joke."
Yuanshi said coldly, looking down on everyone. They were the Orthodox Lineage of Pangu—how had they sunk to being compared with mere feathered beasts?
"Second Brother, Third Brother, don't grow arrogant and conceited. That isn't our goal. We should set our sights higher!"
Laozi spoke calmly. He hadn't forgotten that the Dao Ancestor stood above them.
That was their true goal.
As for the so-called Three Crows, he hadn't given them a second thought.
One day, those three Golden Crows wouldn't even be worthy of looking up at them.
"Elder Brother is right." Yuanshi and Tongtian nodded, agreeing with Laozi.
"Now that the Witch Clan is fighting for supremacy and the world is in turmoil, we must cultivate faster to prepare for the changes to come," Laozi said calmly.
"The Witch Clan has made a filthy mess of the Primordial Land. Those pitiful fools who don't understand the heavenly mandate don't realize that the times have changed. If they remain ignorant of the heavenly mandate, they'll meet their end sooner or later."
Yuanshi said with a smile, his divine sense sweeping over the land. Suddenly, his expression froze.
The Twelve Ancestral Witches were charging toward Mount Buzhou, their momentum fierce.
