Cosmology and Structure

Origin

The Primordial World was formed from the body of Great God Pangu. Its Sun Star, a pivotal celestial body, originated from Pangu's left eye. Removing it plunged the world into eternal darkness. 274 331

The world contains innumerable subsidiary worlds. The “Three Thousand Great Worlds” is described as figurative rather than literal; the actual number is greater. 274

History

Early Calamities

After the death of the fierce beast Shen Ni, the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin clans rose to dominate the seas, land, and skies. Their struggle for supremacy, instigated by Devil Ancestor Luo Hou, became a war that lasted for endless eons and removed all three clans from the center of history. 1

The ensuing Dao-Devil struggle ended when Hongjun forced Luo Hou to self-destruct. The conflict shattered the West’s spiritual veins and severely wounded Hongjun. 1

Witch–Demon Conflict

The Witch Clan’s expansion spread slaughter and Sha Qi across the world. Its Twelve Ancestral Witches treated the occupation of the Primordial World as their natural right as Pangu’s descendants. 10 97

The Witch–Demon War devastated the central regions. When the Twelve Ancestral Witches formed the Twelve Capital Divine Gods and Demons Formation, the Pangu Dharma Body manifested and its aura reached every corner of the world. 103 106

Later, the Witch Clan nearly unified the Primordial Land, while the Demon Race endured catastrophic losses. Kunpeng’s eventual ascent to Sagehood culminated in the destruction of both factions’ remaining strength. 122 248

Rise of the Human Race

Nuwa created the Human Race at Mount Shouyang using Nine Heavens Breathing Soil and Three Lights Divine Water. The Heavenly Dao answered with immeasurable merit, and Nuwa attained Sagehood. 142

Hongjun subsequently decreed a new division of governance: the Demon Race would rule the heavens, the Witch Clan the earth, and the Human Race the seas for one Yuan Epoch. 221

The Human Race rapidly became a major force. Its cultivators developed formations including the Grand Stellar Array and the Primordial River-Luo Map, while its first Quasi-Sage emerged less than ten thousand years after the race’s creation. 212 215 235

Strife of the Three Paths

Following the weakening of the original Heavenly Dao, the Earthly Dao surged and Houtu sought to unify the Three Paths under Pangu’s will. Her plan involved devouring the Heavenly Dao and Human Path in order to condense the Primordial World’s primordial will and revive Pangu. 459 462

Houtu’s struggle with Ling Xiao escalated into a clash of origin power. At the time, she controlled the Earthly Dao and Human Path, amounting to two-thirds of the Primordial World’s origin. 472

Pangu was ultimately revived, but the Primordial World was revealed to be approaching its end, exposing the world to dangers beyond its own cosmological limits. 474 479

Restoration and Expansion

Ling Xiao later restored the world after it had been ravaged by conflicts and re-established its Heavenly Dao rules. He removed the Heavenly Dao’s suppression after it had grown powerful enough to cover the entire world. 494

The Primordial Myriad Dao Tree was planted on Penglai Immortal Island. Its myriad Dao laws could increase cultivation speed by thousands or even tens of thousands of times, and Ling Xiao opened access to every living being regardless of race or origin. 533

As the world approached saturation from supporting increasing numbers of Primordial Sages, Ling Xiao chose to strengthen it by annexing other worlds, beginning with the Black Tortoise World. 538

After returning from the Origin True Realm, Ling Xiao distributed Chaos-grade and Hongmeng-grade spiritual roots, treasures, supreme arts, and divine medicines throughout the Primordial Land. He then merged with the Heavenly Dao to repair its laws and elevate the world into a Perfect Great Heavens and Earths. 815
