Hearing Yuki Yuichi's words, the delight on Yuhi Kurenai's face grew even greater.
Could it be that Yuichi came back so quickly because of me?
Yuhi Kurenai silently wondered, unable to stop a blush from spreading across her face.
With that thought, she flipped over from behind Yuki Yuichi to in front of him.
However, seeing that his eyes were closed, she felt somewhat puzzled.
"Yuichi, why are your eyes closed?"
As she spoke, Yuhi Shinku carried two dishes out from the kitchen. Though he had already grown somewhat used to this sight, he still could not help feeling upset.
It felt like he had painstakingly raised a cabbage, and before it had even fully grown, a wild boar he had raised himself had already rooted it up.
At that thought, he gave a cold snort, his voice slightly frosty. "Dinner!"
"Got it!" Yuhi Kurenai answered, but she did not move.
She wrapped both hands around Yuki Yuichi's left arm and leaned her head close in front of him.
Though his eyes were not open, Yuki Yuichi could still sense the blurry shapes before him.
"Kurenai, don't get so close." Yuki Yuichi pushed Yuhi Kurenai's head away, helplessly opening his eyes. The Three-Tomoe Byakugan appeared before her. "My eyes are closed because the two pairs of eyes are fusing. It isn't suitable to keep them open right now."
After saying that, he closed his eyes again, while Yuhi Kurenai stood frozen in place.
"Th-That... is that the Byakugan?!"
Yuhi Kurenai's voice stuttered. Her eyes were wide, her face filled with disbelief.
"Yeah." Yuki Yuichi had no intention of hiding it from her and nodded immediately. "The Byakugan suddenly awakened, and then the two pairs of eyes fused together."
"I won't be going out on missions for the time being." He
