In a lonely little mountain village, Yuki Yuichi wiped the blood from Hades and looked over the wreckage all around him, unable to stop himself from shaking his head.
"There have been more and more C-rank missions like this lately." Kakashi Hatake stood nearby, frowning as he spoke.
"Isn't having more missions a good thing?" Uchiha Obito said carelessly from the side. "The more missions I complete, the closer I'll get to becoming Hokage!"
Yuki Yuichi glanced at Uchiha Obito, chuckled, and raised a brow. "But have you noticed what it means for missions like this to be increasing?"
"What does it mean?" Uchiha Obito scratched his head. "What could it possibly mean?"
"Aren't they just bandits and robbers?"
"Idiot." Kakashi Hatake held his short sword in his arms and mocked, "More bandits and robbers means the current situation is worsening. And what happens when the situation gets worse? Don't tell me you don't know."
"Mm." Yuki Yuichi nodded in agreement. "I have a feeling that before long, we won't be doing C-rank missions like this anymore, only getting to carry out B-rank missions once in a while."
"Let's head back." Minato Namikaze appeared in front of them at some point, smiling at the three of them. "Yuichi is right. I received a notice from the Hokage, telling us to return to Konoha as soon as possible. A war may very well break out before long."
"Huh?!"
Uchiha Obito's eyes widened as he stared at Yuki Yuichi and Kakashi Hatake in disbelief. "How could you two figure something like that out?!"
"Obito, a lot of things can be seen from other details." Minato Namikaze placed a hand on Uchiha Obito's head. "You need to pay more attention to the subtle changes around you."
Yuki Yuichi gave a couple of smug
