• Nalan Yanran emerged from the Gate of Life and Death injured, then left the Imperial Capital for Jia Nan Academy, while Han Feng learned the Fallen Heart Flame might erupt within two months.
• Xiao Yu told Xiao Yan and Yao Lao about the two Fallen Heart Flames beneath the tower and revealed the ink-gold flame that had appeared in his body during a Heavenly Tribulation.
• After Yao Lao refined the Earth Spirit Pill, he revealed himself to Su Qian, and Xun'er warned that the Soul Hall was pursuing his soul in the Black Corner Region.

Xiao Yu drew Han Feng and Soul Hall into an attack on Jia Nan Academy as the Fallen Heart Flame broke loose, while Gu Yuan and the Gu Clan intervened against Soul Hall. The invaders were defeated, but Han Feng’s final assault damaged the tower’s seal and changed the Fallen Heart Flame’s behavior.

• Xiao Yu invited Gu Yuan to witness the events around Jia Nan Academy, and Gu Yuan agreed to help oppose Soul Hall after learning about Xiao Yu’s plans for the Fallen Heart Flame.
• Xiao Yu reunited with Qing Lin and Nalan Yanran, while Gu Yuan arrived and asked Xun'er to return to the Gu Clan after settling her affairs.
• After the Strong Ranking Tournament, Xiao Yu withdrew the Chaos Fire from the tower, and the Fallen Heart Flame erupted as the academy Elders struggled to maintain its seal.

• Xiao Yan jumped into the abyss after the Fallen Heart Flame, while Nalan Yanran followed him and Xiao Yu began planning to establish the Underworld.
• Xiao Yu became an academy Elder, then took Cai Lin, Zi Yan, and Little Xiao Nian to Twilight City to meet Xiao Ding and investigate the Blood Sect.
