Although he lacked the effects of two Immortal Herbs and a Head Soul Bone, Tang San was now blessed with the divine power of the Asura God, and he had completed the eighty-one hammer strikes of the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer in four months.
Facing Tang San at such a speed, Tang Hao was somewhat less than satisfied. His reaction was when Tang San said to him with an excited face, "Father, I succeeded."
Yet Tang Hao merely frowned, his voice deeply somber. "Good, follow me."
Tang San, who had been exceptionally joyful, grew silent upon seeing this lukewarm reaction from Tang Hao.
Tang Hao said, "Although you are now among the best of your peers, you still lack one thing. Do you know what that is?"
Tang San shook his head, and Tang Hao continued, "The thing you lack is something young soul masters all miss as well-that is actual combat."
Actual combat? Tang San could not help muttering to himself.
Tang Hao said solemnly, "Indeed, actual combat. But training you in real combat takes place in a very special location. Do you need to rest, or will you go to that place right now?"
Tang San wanted to grow stronger immediately, to utterly rout the Spirit Hall Academy that had eliminated him. "A true man's cultivation does not require rest; I want to go right now. Besides, the journey there will serve as enough rest."
Tang Hao nodded with satisfaction. "You truly are my son. Then let us leave at once."
Thus, Tang San followed Tang Hao toward the place of combat training that Tang Hao had mentioned-the City of Slaughter. Yet as they grew closer to the City of Slaughter, Tang San also felt as though the place Tang Hao spoke of was inexplicably calling to him.
