"A Natural piloting a Ginn? You're overestimating yourself."
"I hope you don't get one-shot by those monsters the moment you meet them. Or killed from behind by your own people."
After leaving only that harsh line behind, Harris went straight past him to the conveyor belt on the other side and drifted away.
It was as if he was afraid Xu De would say something else that would leave him unable to save face.
Xu De watched Harris's departing back, his expression not changing in the slightest.
Someone else cursing him to die early did not mean he would actually die. Besides, on the battlefield, he had already faced life and death head-on. A line like that was basically no different from a casual greeting to Xu De.
With that thought, Xu De had no further interest in watching the man's back. He turned and continued toward Revil.
"Sir!"
When Xu De entered the small operations room, everyone else had already arrived.
That included their five-man team, as well as the eight people on the other side who had originally belonged to Revil's unit.
Of course, that faker Libby was no longer there. He had heard that after being put in confinement, Libby had been transferred to some assault unit.
In any case, it was a unit with a fairly high fatality rate, one used specifically for punishment.
"Xu, have a seat."
When Revil saw Xu De enter, a warm smile rose on his face.
He pointed to the seat at the very front.
Aside from the original five-man team, the eight-man squad directly under Revil also looked in Xu De's direction.
They all knew exactly what kind of person their leader was.
Even when facing his superiors, he might not show such an intimate attitude.
Let alone toward them.
