Uzumaki Kuming tossed the list of teammates he had personally chosen to the Third Hokage. In front of everyone, Hiruzen Sarutobi opened the scroll. The first name on the list made him furrow his brow.
"Uchiha Fugaku?" Hiruzen Sarutobi looked up in surprise, his gaze asking Jiuming for an explanation.
Uzumaki Kuming nodded slightly and said with a smile, "That's right. He's one of the teammates I personally picked, and he's already agreed."
"As for his transfer..." Hiruzen Sarutobi murmured, but before he could finish, Jiuming cut him off.
"I know you can handle it, Sensei."
"Even though he's from the Uchiha Clan, he's still a Konoha shinobi."
"Having him join Anbu shouldn't be much of a problem, right? After all, you're the Hokage of Konoha!"
Jiuming promptly laid it on thick. With other shinobi present, the Third Hokage couldn't do anything that might undermine his authority, so he merely nodded in silent agreement before looking over the other names on the list.
Apart from Uchiha Fugaku at the top, the others Jiuming had chosen were easier to arrange. The second name was Hizashi Hyuga. When he saw it, the Third Hokage paused to recall who he was. Once he confirmed Hizashi was Hyuga Rihui's second son, he said nothing. But the name after Hizashi's genuinely surprised him.
