"Where am I?"
Rin slowly opened her eyes and looked around at her surroundings, asking softly. Her voice startled Kakashi and Obito, then filled them with overwhelming joy.
Kakashi quickly dropped to the ground and stopped. Obito gently lowered Rin to the ground as well, then spoke warmly. "Rin, you're awake? That's wonderful!"
"Rin, we're in the Land of Whirlpools. We're heading for the camp now. You finally woke up!"
A smile flickered in Kakashi's eyes as he spoke happily. Seeing the familiar faces before her, Rin's awareness gradually returned, and memories began to flood into her mind. Her expression turned frightened. She suddenly slapped Obito's shoulder and struggled.
"What's wrong, Rin?" Seeing her struggle violently behind him, Obito thought she was embarrassed and didn't want to be carried on his back. He quickly let go, looking at her awkwardly as he asked.
But Rin wasn't thinking about that at all. She stumbled a few steps after landing, then steadied herself and quickly turned her back to Obito and Kakashi, pulling open the front of her clothes.
A strange black Cursed Seal spread across the area around Rin's heart. It covered a wide area, extending from her chest to her lower abdomen, where a dense, intricate pattern of seals covered her skin.
"It's real! They really did seal a Tailed Beast inside my body!"
"It wasn't a dream! That wasn't a dream!"
Rin Nohara stared at the complex seal before her, frozen in place as she murmured. Tears began to fall from her eyes without her noticing, landing on the ground. Heartbroken, she lowered her head, then collapsed onto the ground.
"Rin? Rin!" Obito hadn't heard what Rin had been muttering to herself. When she suddenly collapsed, he rushed to her side and called out to her anxiously.
