The Ruins

A seemingly tiny human body collided without pause with a thirty-meter-long Yangtze alligator!

The War God remained firmly in place, while the Yangtze alligator was flung away, flying forty or fifty meters!

He was definitely an exceptionally powerful War God!

"Don't stop! Get out of here, quickly!" the War God shouted to the rest of the team.

In the water, beast-general-level monsters were already leaping out one after another, charging toward the team.

"Roar!" The team members had slowed down a little when they saw the War God come to their aid. Now, they wished they had wings as they sprinted desperately toward safety!

Seeing the battle between the two War God-level fighters, Wang Ji knew he no longer needed to get involved. The team, however, was in dire need of help. Monsters were surging out of the surrounding waterways one after another, lunging at them.

The area was already crisscrossed with waterways. At the roars of the pursuing monsters, more and more beasts emerged from the nearby channels. They were about to be surrounded by a horde of monsters!

"But... six of our comrades got separated. I don't know what happened to them." Zhang Lan gazed back anxiously.

"In that situation, even hesitating for a moment could get you killed. There wasn't time to keep track of everyone... We can only hope they make it out safely."

"Rest here! I'm going back in to take a look!" Wang Ji said.

Wang Ji waved a hand. "I won't get close to them, so there's not much danger. Besides, the War God from before might need me to scout something out!"

Two minutes later, Wang Ji had reached the place where the War God and the monster had fought.

"You're Wang Ji, right? Were you the one who discovered this anomaly?" a female War God asked in a hoarse voice.

Wang Ji nodded. "I was."

"Have you noticed anything else unusual here?"

"There's a large metallic object underwater. It looks like a spaceship!"

"A spaceship!" The two War Gods were shaken to the core!

This was a ruin—a relic of an extraterrestrial civilization!

It was a major discovery. Ancient Civilization Ruins had helped drive the rapid development of modern society. Many leaps forward in technology had traces of alien science behind them. This extraterrestrial ruin was far more valuable than the Spirit of Plants and Trees they had previously suspected!

Of course, ruins varied in value, and they couldn't all be lumped together. But even just a spaceship wreck was enormously valuable.

The two immediately called military headquarters on their smart communication watches to report the discovery.

Just over ten minutes later, a gray-green smart fighter jet arrived and hovered eight hundred meters above the ground!

A black figure shot out of the jet like a cannonball. "Bang!"

He landed in Reed Marsh, sending water and mud flying everywhere!

In a flash, he was standing before the two War Gods.

"General Pei!"

"Greetings, War God Pei!"

The two War Gods greeted him respectfully.

War God Pei waved a hand. "The ruin is down there?"

"Yes!" the hoarse-voiced female War God replied. "Old Liu injured the Lord-level Monster, the Yangtze alligator, just now. That beast retreated into the water. Old Liu is still waiting on the shore over there."

As she spoke, she pointed toward the War God who had arrived first.

War God Pei waved a hand. "Then I'll go take a look."

With that, he plunged into the water.

"But..." Wang Ji was startled.

In the water, a fighter could bring out only four or five tenths of their full strength!

The female War God smiled. "Don't worry! War God Pei Yong is one of the strongest War Gods. Even in the water, an ordinary Lord-level Monster is as good as dead."

Two minutes later, the ground trembled faintly. With a loud splash, War God Pei Yong emerged from the water, dragging the corpse of a monster more than thirty meters long.

Sure enough, it was the Yangtze alligator!

The three people he mentioned clearly didn't include Wang Ji.

Wang Ji thought of the damaged crystal he had moved out earlier. It was obviously impossible to take it away now. Trying to steal a prize right under the noses of three War Gods? "General Pei," Wang Ji said, "when I first explored the area, I found a crystal beside the spaceship."

"A crystal? Where is it?" General Pei asked urgently.

Whoosh! Guided by Wang Ji's spiritual force, the crystal shot up from the water and flew over to them. General Pei reached out and caught it, his face lighting up with delight. "Good! Excellent! You've earned great merit. We have you to thank!"

"It was the right thing to do!"

With his task complete, Wang Ji headed out. He could still hear them talking behind him. "What is this, General Pei?"

Pei Yong said, "I don't know, but when I hold this crystal, I can feel my whole body tingling with excitement! This must be a treasure that can promote bodily evolution! The sudden appearance of so many Lord-level and beast-general-level Yangtze alligators was probably caused by this crystal."

"That really is a treasure!"

"Don't worry! The country won't let its own people down. Everyone will definitely get a chance to use this treasure. It'll just depend on what restrictions we set."

"Exactly!" The two War Gods nodded.
