"We're here!" Chen Beixun watched the battle in the distance, then found a concealed spot to hide.
He observed the fighting.
"What's that?" Chen Beixun narrowed his eyes and looked west.
A speck of light streaked across the western horizon, above the black sand dunes beneath the boundary between the two worlds.
The speck drew near in the blink of an eye, like dawn breaking through the dark sky. Its momentum was like Gonggong crashing into Mount Buzhou, or a spirit god cleaving the heavens with an axe.
Boom!
The speck exploded over the Black Soul Tower's stronghold in a dazzling burst. Shock waves rippled outward like a stone dropped into a river.
"So powerful!" Chen Beixun watched from afar, his eyes gleaming as he stared intently, mouth slightly open.
"That guy's comprehension of the Light Origin and Origin Law is exceptionally high—almost on par with an average World Lord's," Qishan commented from Chen Beixun's right.
Suddenly, the world changed. A ball of fire slowly rose from the Black Soul Tower's stronghold.
As it climbed higher, the flames grew brighter, and strange green light flickered within them.
6,300 meters!
7,800 meters!
8,000 meters!
The fireball burst apart, its explosion resembling a red planet ringed with stars. Then it rapidly contracted into a red sphere before suddenly blossoming open.
At last, it bloomed into a green lotus of fire, a thousand meters in diameter.
A blurred figure appeared inside the lotus. He stepped out, and his form became clear. He wore a black battle robe, with a pair of wrist blades strapped to his arms.
His imposing aura made him seem like a god of war.
"Domain Lord, first rank." Qishan narrowed his eyes. "His comprehension of the Fire Origin Law is already comparable to that of a typical World Lord at the fourth or fifth rank!"
Whoosh!
Chen Beixun flashed away.
"Come on! We're changing locations." He glanced back and sent the others a telepathic message.
Moluo, Vido, and He Ke turned into streaks of light and followed Chen Beixun.
The battle below was nearing its peak.
Even so, none of the three sides had brought out their ultimate weapons.
Whoosh!
Chen Beixun sped past, looking around until he found a relatively concealed spot.
"Black Soul Tower has lost twelve of its nineteen life bases."
"Their casualties are also extremely severe!"
"The casualty ratios are 1:2.1 for Black Soul Tower versus the Lotte Family, and 1:3.6 for Black Soul Tower versus Kesmier," Qishan analyzed.
Chen Beixun looked surprised. "Black Soul Tower really is powerful!"
"The undying being behind Black Soul Tower is one of the five hundred lords of the Xuyu Universe Kingdom!" Qishan said with a smile. "Its equipment is leagues ahead of Kesmier's!"
"Brutal." Chen Beixun furrowed his brows, keeping a close eye on the changing battle.
As soon as he got a chance to join the fight, he would send Demon Island Vine in to reap a wave of kills.
"Hmm?" Chen Beixun leaned forward slightly.
Despite being badly suppressed, Black Soul Tower had actually launched a desperate counterattack.
"Jeez..." Chen Beixun bared his teeth, then said, "Have they got a death wish?"
"They could hold out a while longer by relying on their defensive fortifications!"
"No." Qishan shook his head. "Black Soul Tower suddenly deployed a high-powered jammer. The high-end weapons of the Lotte Family and Kesmier have stopped working."
"What? A device? How did that happen so suddenly?" Chen Beixun scratched his head.
Moluo turned to Chen Beixun and said respectfully, "Your Highness, why not give it a try?"
Chen Beixun smiled calmly. "Sure."
Somewhere on the battlefield...
Liumite was an elite member of Kesmier. He was talented and powerful.
"What am I supposed to do?" Liumite clutched his head and hid behind the wreckage of a spacecraft. All his technological weapons had stopped working.
Liumite heard the metallic clashing sounds drawing closer.
He gripped the X8 Light Blade in his hand and leaped out. Sixteen blades of light shot from his body.
The sixteen blades split into two groups, sweeping through the air in arcs as they attacked a war machine resembling a doorframe, 354 meters away.
The blades of light reached the machine almost instantly.
Clang!
The sound of metal being cut rang out.
"Got it!" Excitement flashed in Liumite's eyes.
Suddenly, a figure slammed into the ground, kicking up clouds of dust. When the dust settled,
Chen Beixun stood on the ground and brushed the dust off his clothes. "Hurry and organize your people. Get ready to counterattack."
"Huh?" Liumite asked in surprise. "What? Which unit are you with?"
"Uh... You're with the Lotte Family, right?"
Suspicion appeared on Liumite's face. He stared at the stranger before him, on guard.
The Lotte Family and Kesmier had reached a temporary agreement, but it was only temporary.
Chen Beixun gave a faint smile and snapped his fingers. Twelve Universe Level 9 powerhouses appeared out of thin air beside him.
"Holy shit!" Liumite froze, then said, "No problem!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Liumite shot into the sky and flew off like a streak of light.
As he flew, he could think of nothing but, Universe Level 9 bodyguards? And every one of them is several times stronger than me!
Some black markets sold Universe Level 9 slaves. Their prices were no different from those of Universe Level 8 slaves, but few people could afford them.
People in the universe placed tremendous importance on status and strength.
Liumite understood this principle well.
Chen Beixun was no exception. Without Li Di as his backer, he would have had no choice but to hide in the World Ring, concealed in an asteroid belt or somewhere else.
At the edge of the battlefield...
Boom! Boom!
Two terrifying forces collided! Shock waves rapidly spread in every direction like a dust storm.
One side was engulfed in freezing cold, while dust and rocks flew through the air on the other.
The two forces clashed like a pair of wings made of ice crystals and rock.
Gradually, the cold wind grew stronger. Until at last...
A biting gale howled, swallowing the dust and rocks.
Grain-sized ice crystals whipped through the wind.
A figure flashed past, holding something spherical in one hand.
It was Chen Beixun.
"What a pain," he said with a frown.
Chen Beixun flew out of the gale and saw a streak of golden light part the white mist.
Beep, beep—
"Hmm?" Chen Beixun raised his arm and tapped the screen with a finger.
"Your Highness, I've taken care of four of them," Vido's voice said.
Chen Beixun was a little surprised, but quickly recovered. "Go meet up with Moluo."
"I'll take care of a few flies."
Chen Beixun darted sideways, then flew straight up.
A chill flashed in his eyes, and an icy aura burst outward.
He unleashed the second level of the Tianqu Cone. With a Mental Power Amplitude of 40, it surged with astonishing force.
Thirty-two flying blades charged back and forth like well-trained cavalry.
Whoosh!
Several blood lotuses bloomed beneath Chen Beixun.
"Universe Level 5, Universe Level 6, and two Universe Level 7s."
"They must be ordinary adventurers, here to try their luck and scavenge some junk."
Chen Beixun's mind raced.
"I shouldn't linger here!"
He surged forward in an instant. Several spatial bracelets flew toward him from behind.
"Looks like they weren't very rich," Chen Beixun thought as he collected the bracelets. "But in this World Lord World, taking out even a little something would keep you fed for eight generations!"
"Too bad for you."
Meanwhile, in the distance...
"Should we intercept him?" The speaker was Pavadode, who had appeared at Base 21. He watched Chen Beixun's retreating figure.
"No." The Kekumeng woman sat cross-legged on the ground. "Our goal is to enter the World Castle. We should act cautiously."
Boom—
A figure landed on the ground with a heavy thud.
It was Jistone.
Clack, clack—
Jistone's face was cold as he tossed three heads onto the ground.
"It's taken care of, Your Highness!" Jistone said respectfully.
"Mm." The Kekumeng woman replied calmly.
Whoosh!
A streak of golden light arrived in an instant!
It happened so suddenly that Jistone had no time to react. He saw only a flash of gold.
Jistone died!
"Who are you?" Pavadode roared, leaping to his feet and swinging his staff in a vicious strike.
"Your Highness, run!" Pavadode sent a telepathic message.
The Kekumeng woman froze for a moment, then quickly reacted and turned into a streak of light as she fled.
"Pavadode, don't fight him!" the Kekumeng woman cried urgently through telepathy.
