In a dark, damp corner, Huang Wuye finally found the Rot-Tooth Beasts, which had just finished hunting.

Their eyes were half-closed as they lay buried in the damp earth, with only their upper bodies above ground. They looked just like quiet children.

Suddenly, as if sensing something, their enormous eyes, each as big as a truck, slowly lit up. In the dark corner, they glowed like clusters of blazing torches, bright and dazzling. They sniffed the air, then sprang to their feet and let out a series of deep growls.

"Roar! Roar!"

"Oh, these big guys have pretty sharp noses, don't they?" Huang Wuye said, the corners of his mouth lifting in mild surprise.

"Boss, although the monsters on Giant Wood Planet generally aren't very intelligent, each has a few unique talents.

"For example, the Vine Wood Ox has almost no grasp of domains, but its special talent lets it form a defensive phantom around its body, reducing the force of attacks.

"And the Rot-Tooth Beast has highly corrosive bodily fluids, a sense of smell a hundred times sharper than that of ordinary wolf beasts, and claws powerful enough to tear through C-Grade Alloy. Their talents are truly formidable." A golden figure appeared as Dasheng explained.

While they were talking, the Rot-Tooth Beasts had already surrounded Huang Wuye. From the sky, one would have seen enormous beasts, over a hundred meters tall and even close to a thousand meters, encircling a red-haired man in white robes. The spear in his hand looked like a toothpick beside them.

"Mm, there are 283 Rot-Tooth Beasts in total: three at the early Universe Level, 240 at the advanced Universe Level, 30 at the peak Universe Level, and ten at the Domain Lord level, all at the first or second tier. They're all quite strong. That makes sense—the weaker Rot-Tooth Beasts would've been eliminated long ago. They'll make a good first battle." Huang Wuye analyzed the situation as he thrust his spear through an incoming Rot-Tooth Beast. His spear, imbued with the Law of Fire, pierced right through it, leaving a huge hole more than ten meters wide through its heart. It was clearly dead.

"Then let's clear out the cannon fodder first!" A few more thrusts killed several incoming advanced Universe Level Rot-Tooth Beasts. He swept his spear and sent a beast about three hundred meters tall flying, then shot straight upward.

He dodged several beasts that pounced at him and rose into the sky. The colossal monsters below now looked like little dogs.

"Prairie Fire!" Huang Wuye shouted, sweeping his spear and unleashing countless afterimages. Spear beams, each about twenty meters thick, shot out from where he stood, racing toward the Rot-Tooth Beasts in the blink of an eye.

A-Da was a Rot-Tooth Beast four hundred meters tall and six hundred meters long. Its day had been pleasant enough. After following the leader on a hunt, as usual, it and the others had found a place to rest.

Just as it was sleeping soundly, an unfamiliar scent reached it. A-Da was furious. With an angry roar, it followed the smell. It wasn't surprised that its companions were nearby. That was basic sense for a skilled predator.

But now, just as it leaped up to tear apart the little bug, a fiery-red spear beam came hurtling from the sky. A-Da sensed the threat of death.

It swung its sharp claws with all its might, trying to rip apart the thing that threatened it.

"Thwack!" At the sound of a blade piercing flesh, A-Da felt its consciousness slowly fading. Its once-invincible claws had already been pierced through.

It forced its gaze to move. One after another, its companions, who had leaped into the air just like it, were pierced by the fiery-red spear beams. They were like moths flying into a flame.

Hmm, something had landed on it. It recognized that smell. Its companions had smelled like this after being sent flying by the Vine Wood Ox. Before it could think any further, its consciousness was gone.

Only a cold, mangled body fell from the sky, like a broken flower, raising dust across the ground.

In the sky, Huang Wuye thrust out one spear after another. Fiery-red beams interwove with the charging Rot-Tooth Beasts, forming a perfect painting. The mingling of blood and fire made it all the more tragic.

After who knew how long, Huang Wuye stopped. He looked around and saw one enormous body after another slowly falling from the sky, like the last light of the setting sun.

They landed on the earth, already shattered by the spear beams, with heavy thuds.

When everything finally settled, only about twenty Rot-Tooth Beasts remained. Their truck-sized eyes were bloodshot, like giant red lanterns.

Each was over a thousand meters long and at least eight hundred meters tall. Their bodies trembled slightly, and several wounds could be seen on them. It seemed they hadn't escaped unscathed. The pain coursing through their bodies made them look even more ferocious.

Huang Wuye slowly descended, boldly sizing up the few remaining prey. He landed on a mangled corpse, his toes resting on its scales, and pointed his spear at the remaining beasts in a taunting challenge.

"Roar!" As if enraged by Huang Wuye, they let out a shrill growl, transformed into arrows, and reached him in the blink of an eye.

A foul smell reached Huang Wuye's nose, making him furrow his brow slightly. The Rot-Tooth Beasts were fast, but it depended on who they were up against. Huang Wuye himself was much faster.

But he needed these big beasts to hone his spear techniques, so he didn't dodge. He moved his spear and met their charge head-on.

Huang Wuye weaved among the Rot-Tooth Beasts, nimbly dodging beams of pale moonlight and their sharp claws with effortless grace, as lithe as a silver snake.

The wind whipped up by their frenzied attacks tugged at his fiery-red hair and the hem of his clothes. His heartbeat quickened slightly, and he relished the sensation of dancing on the edge of danger.

His spear grew faster without him realizing it, and he casually left one wound after another on the Rot-Tooth Beasts.

Gradually, he lost himself in the feeling. He sensed the breath of fire and the fluctuations of space. One spear technique after another flowed from his hands: Prairie Fire, Heaven Leveling, Void Shadow, Space Shattering Break.

This was the first time he had used the techniques from his Spear Canon in actual combat. They were strong—very strong. Beneath his spear, the Universe Level and Domain Lord level Rot-Tooth Beasts seemed no different. They were all equally weak.

By the time he came back to himself, the Rot-Tooth Beasts could no longer hold on. They lay on the ground, panting faintly. Their bodies were covered in countless horrific wounds.

Their battered forms looked like scraps of cloth, ready to fall apart at a touch.

"There's still one last technique. Watch me use Void Death Calamity." As Huang Wuye spoke, a domain of fire appeared out of nowhere, enveloping dozens of miles in the blink of an eye. Spear beams emerged from the void one after another.

Huang Wuye slung his spear over his shoulder and leaped into the air. The flames behind him slowly faded. The Rot-Tooth Beasts had vanished, leaving behind only a field of ashes.
