Devouring Tsunade

Seeing Tsunade looking so eager, Shangguan Yue asked worriedly, "What happened?"

Tsunade flew into a rage. "Am I really that unattractive? I'm practically throwing myself at you, and you still don't want me?!"

"No, I'm just worried about you!"

"I don't need you to worry. One question: are you giving it to me or not?"

"Hey, what if I say no?"

"You don't get to decide. I do. Hand it over!"

Tsunade transformed into a dragon knight, changing from the delicate young woman she'd been moments ago into a fearless warrior.

Tsunade dominated the entire battlefield. Their battle was so fierce it turned the world upside down. If Shangguan Yue hadn't wrapped the room in his spiritual power,

the old woman in the room next door would've been shocked for the rest of her life. It was a complete collapse of morality and a distortion of human nature.

"Tsunade, you're not human! Can you let me rest for a while?"

"Rest? No problem. I've seen how powerful the Sage Body is.

"Your Sage Body still needs some work. Let me help you train it some more."

Early the next morning, Shangguan Yue felt as if not a single bone in his body was intact. Every inch of him ached from being thoroughly ravaged.

Only heaven knew what Shangguan Yue had gone through last night. Tsunade hadn't finally let him go until dawn the next day, and even then, she'd seemed reluctant.

After all, Tsunade had literally worked Shangguan Yue into unconsciousness. But thanks to the Sage Body, he'd woken up again before long.

He looked at Tsunade, lying beside him with rosy cheeks. Her transformation from a young girl into a woman was incredibly alluring. Unfortunately, he was already exhausted, and soon fell back into a deep sleep.

When he woke up again, his whole body felt as if it had been run over. He still hadn't recovered, but Tsunade was already gone.

Shangguan Yue struggled out of bed and got dressed. He glanced at the bedside and saw that Tsunade had left him a note.

He picked it up and read it. The more he read, the angrier he got. It was Tsunade's assessment of him last night, and she'd actually called him average.

"Unbelievable. Just you wait, Tsunade. In a few years, when I've finally turned things around, we'll see which of us is begging for mercy. How dare you look down on me?"

From the rest of the note, it seemed Tsunade really was going on a mission with Orochimaru and Jiraiya.

The note didn't give any details about the mission. Maybe it was to keep things confidential, or perhaps she didn't want Shangguan Yue to worry. She'd merely mentioned a brief infiltration mission behind enemy lines and left it at that.

But it didn't take much imagination to understand how dangerous a mission behind enemy lines could be. The Sannin were still growing and hadn't yet reached the peak of their lives.

They hadn't even reached Kage Level yet; they were merely elite jonin. If they were discovered while infiltrating enemy territory, the enemy could simply overwhelm them with numbers.

At this point, the great ninja villages had already built up considerable strength. The Sannin couldn't turn the tide of a war on their own yet, and they might well die before reaching their full potential.

At the thought, Shangguan Yue felt a surge of resentment. He resented his circumstances, his own weakness, and the fact that the woman he loved was out there fighting while he could only sit in class at the academy.

"Tsunade, Tsunade, you've completely wrecked all my plans. Looks like I'll have to move everything up.

"I'd planned to spend six years slowly developing, but now I'll have to skip ahead. Next time, my woman can stay safely behind me and support me from there."

Shangguan Yue quietly closed his eyes, concealing the two Tomoe he'd just revealed. Once he'd calmed down, he opened his pale eyes with dark pupils and left the room.

"Looks like I'm still not ruthless enough. I've had the Devour Bloodline for so long, but I still haven't dared to take action."

That day, as usual, Shangguan Yue sent a Shadow Clone to the academy before heading to Hatake Sakumo's house himself.

Just as usual, Hatake Sakumo opened the door and let Shangguan Yue in. This time, instead of picking up the large iron sword beside him to practice the basics, Shangguan Yue spoke up.

"Sakumo, how many people are there in the Hatake Clan?"

"Haha, it's a little embarrassing to say, but our Hatake Clan was a moderately sized family back in the Warring States period.

"But ever since we came to Konoha, we've gradually declined. We don't have many households—only about ten families in the clan.

"Our next generation has only a dozen or so people, too. Our numbers are really dwindling."

"Don't worry, Sakumo. With you around, the Hatake Clan will definitely rise again. You're so strong."

"I appreciate the kind words. But why are you asking, Yue?"

"Sakumo, I have a favor to ask. I'd like to challenge the younger generation of your clan. I want to fight everyone who hasn't reached jonin rank. Please."

Shangguan Yue bowed at a ninety-degree angle, his manner completely sincere. Sakumo had been about to refuse, but seeing how serious Shangguan Yue was, he paused to consider it before cautioning him.

"Yue, our clan trains in swordsmanship, not in punching. Swords don't have eyes, and you could get hurt.

"You're still a student at the Ninja Academy. Isn't this too soon? You're rushing things a little."

From the moment Hatake Sakumo heard the request, he understood that Shangguan Yue wanted to improve his swordsmanship through combat.

Shangguan Yue's eyes were full of longing for strength, but how could he possibly give up now?

After all, he had a cheat, and not using it would be a waste. He was still here, laboriously practicing his sword swings, when he could challenge the younger generation of the Hatake Clan instead.

He could record them in the Balance Space, challenge them over time, and get the things he wanted to drop.
