Mito resides within the Senju compound and oversees Tsunade’s arranged engagement to Shangguan Yue. Concerned by the twenty-two-year age gap between Tsunade and the five-year-old Yue, she attempts to postpone the arrangement rather than publicly cancel it. She nevertheless promises to support Tsunade’s eventual decision. 3

Despite being seventy years old, Mito retains the appearance of an eighteen-year-old through the Yin Seal. She teaches the technique to Tsunade and Uzumaki Kushina, presenting it as a means of preserving youth. 3
