"Brother Little White, help me!"
A tiny, tiny voice seemed to drift in from very, very far away.
"What kind of trouble has the Little One gotten himself into now? Oh, he's being chased by those Sealers from the Rain Clan." Bai Yixin's body shimmered with divine light, instantly drying the moisture from his clothes.
"Just a few old relics, only good at bullying the young with numbers."
Bai Yixin's figure vanished into the Rain Curtain Forest, rushing toward the source of the Little One's cries.
The Little One stood atop the Suanni Treasure Mirror, shooting toward the heavens with extreme speed.
Behind the Little One were four powerful experts from the Rain Clan. They had blocked off all four directions, but they could not completely seal the sky itself. Using his treasure, the Little One had escaped into the high altitudes, and the four men, stepping onto beast skins or brandishing Treasure Bones, took to the air in pursuit.
Ultimately, the Little One was still too young to contend with four such powerful experts, and he was driven into a corner with no path to the heavens and no door to the earth.
Along the way, he fought as he fled, leaving a trail of blood as he suffered grievous wounds.
The Little One was struck by a sweep of the rain curtain; the torrential downpour possessed a destructive divine power that slammed into his body, causing him to cough up mouthfuls of blood.
Had his physical body not been comparable to the hatchling of a primordial fierce beast of the Heaven Tier, this strike alone would have shattered his bones and reduced him to a pulp of flesh.
The Little One spat out a glob of blood and saw a flash of green light in the distance. He glared coldly at the four experts, clenched his fists, and said, "Heh, you old bastards! If I survive today, I will surely slaughter every last one of you in the Rain Clan!"
"That only makes it all the more impossible to let you live!" one of them replied coldly, a callous smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"Hmm, look at him. When he knits his brows like that, doesn't he look a lot like someone?" At this moment, an old man spoke up. He was doing his best to suppress his cultivation, for he was clearly agitated, his chest heaving.
As soon as these words were spoken, the other three were startled, all of them staring intently at the Little One.
At this point, the four no longer hid their true appearances. They dispelled the rain and mist, revealing their true forms: two middle-aged men and two old men, their eyes exceptionally bright, like golden lanterns.
"Four pieces of trash!" Bai Yixin arrived nearby, intending to observe the situation first to see if he could launch a sneak attack and kill one of them.
"Little One, activate the Jade Tablet I gave you and blow them up!" Bai Yixin crept toward the four men from afar, signaling the Little One with a secret code.
"Hummm."
A Jade Tablet appeared in the Little One's hand—the very one Bai Yixin had given him.
This Jade Tablet had only two functions: positioning, and exploding while actively indicating its location.
Bai Yixin had filled the interior of the Jade Tablet with a massive, highly unstable amount of spirit energy. It contained two trigger arrays: one to provide coordinates, and the other to shatter the balance of the spirit energy, causing a massive explosion.
In simple terms, it was a Spirit Energy Hand Grenade that could track its target.
It was a byproduct of Bai Yixin's research into the uses of the Purple Gold Giant Cauldron, which he dubbed a Spirit Energy Hand Grenade.
Its power was not particularly great; limited by the materials, it could at most kill a fledgling cultivator who had just stepped into the Spirit Transformation Stage, and even then, only if they were completely caught off guard.
However, for these self-suppressed Sealers, if used correctly, it might just force them to use power exceeding the world's limits, which would then cause this small world to turn its own wrath upon them.
But in this situation, there was no such opportunity.
Bai Yixin only needed the Little One to create a small opening, just enough to distract them.
At this moment, the Little One channeled all his power into the Jade Tablet, utilizing the Suanni Treasure Mirror to inject endless lightning energy into it, activating the tablet until it erupted with blinding light.
"BOOM!"
The Little One flicked his wrist and threw it toward the four men.
The four experts were all startled; none of them had expected the little brat to throw something capable of unleashing such immense power.
Lightning flashed, and the Jade Tablet detonated. The sky instantly turned brilliant white, like a flashbang, engulfing all four of them. It sent a chill through their hearts, and the beard and hair of one old man were instantly blasted away.
Unfortunately, while the four were impacted and shaken, none of them perished. Only one was injured, a trail of blood spilling from his lip.
Who could have expected that while chasing this bear child, he would suddenly toss an explosive behind him? The speed was too fast for them to dodge in time.
More importantly, the explosion was not only powerful but accompanied by lightning, creating a blinding glare and a deafening roar that severely disoriented the four of them.
Just as the four were reeling from the blast, a figure silently appeared behind them. A sword light, graceful as an antelope hanging by its horns, instantly cleaved the heads from two of the old men.
"Ah..."
The remaining two cried out in agony. They did not escape unscathed; engulfed by a sheet of lightning, two thick bolts of thunder struck them. A crackling sound erupted, and the scent of charred flesh instantly filled the air.
Bai Yixin held nothing back. Still as a mountain, swift as a thunderclap, his strike was lethal.
Bai Yixin casually swept his blade twice more, severing the heads of the other two to ensure they weren't playing dead.
"Brother Little White!"
The Little One ran over, covered in wounds.
"Are you alright?" Bai Yixin checked him over; the injuries were severe, but fortunately, they hadn't damaged his foundation.
"I'm fine, just exhausted. If those four old geezers hadn't been so shameless, I would have taken them all out already," the Little One grumbled indignantly, shocked that such old men had managed to sneak in.
"Eat plenty later to recover," Bai Yixin said, continuing his explanation.
"They are Sealers. The Hundred Fracture Mountain contains great opportunities. Every time it opens, a small number of people pay a massive price to seal themselves, causing their strength to plummet while replenishing their essence to make their bodies function like those of youths. Even so, entering this way comes at a great cost. If this small world senses them, they will face a calamity and be killed by the world itself."
Bai Yixin paused, collected the items from the corpses, and continued.
"After the ancient sages shed their tears and blood here, this place gained an exclusionary nature. It performs self-protection to prevent those with excessive destructive power from entering."
"My guess is that the degree of this exclusion is related to age and cultivation, while combat power seems to have no effect."
"Just like how I used power exceeding the Cave Heaven Realm; because I am under eighteen and my cultivation hasn't surpassed the Cave Heaven Realm, I didn't face any repulsion."
"So that's the restriction on those over the age limit," the Little One realized, though he immediately winced in pain.
"Brother Little White, let's find a place for me to heal." The Little One's injuries were not light; he had several bloody holes in his body that were still oozing blood.
"Let's go. Once you've healed, we'll go see what these Rain Clan people are up to, sending four Sealers in at once." Bai Yixin summoned his flashy Three-Foot Green Blade, and with the Little One in tow, he flew on his sword to find a Spirit Mountain for healing.
