Background

Following the Battle of the Two Emperors, Xiao Yan was known across the Dou Qi Continent as the Flame Emperor. He and Xun Er and Cai Lin held a wedding in Wutan City; later, he opened a dimensional channel and absorbed Source Qi, allowing others on the continent to pursue the Dou Di realm. 1

After arriving on the Dou Di Continent, Xiao Yan travels with Qing Yuan and seeks recognition from Qing Cheng City's Alchemist Association. He completes the Emperor Grade One Alchemist assessment by refining and subduing an Emperor Grade Pill, though he declines the Association's offered honored-elder position. 9 16
