"The Dragonspine Mountains are extremely dangerous. They're said to be home to countless terrifying creatures. Besides the dragon beasts, there are some dreadful wild beasts. No one knows how long they've lived. Some are over a thousand years old, even several thousand. They're terrifying. They might not measure up to the legendary Wild Gods, but they aren't far behind."

Olivia said quietly, "When my ancestor, the Dragon Knight Sir Davian, entered the Dragonspine Mountains eight hundred years ago to search for a black dragon, he encountered a giant python over fifty meters long. It tried to swallow him, but Sir Davian split its body open and severed its head. That battle was perilous. He nearly died."

Shawn's interest stirred. A python terrifying enough to swallow Sir Davian probably really did rival Legendary Rank. Of course, it was likely still a long way from the Wild Gods. Demigods were the strongest beings in this world. Reaching that level wasn't so easy.

A haughty, languid voice sounded in Shawn's mind. It was the Lynx Princess.

"Master, Master, let this princess out! I'm going stir-crazy! Boo-hoo, these Dragonspine Mountains sound like so much fun! There are even fifty-meter pythons! The Alterac Mountains don't have those! I want out! I want out!"

Shawn had questioned the Lynx Princess before and learned that she had originally lived in the Alterac Mountains on Azeroth. She had been one of the mountains' overlords, the ruler of the lynxes there. If Shawn hadn't captured and tamed her as his pet, perhaps she would have joined the Wild Gods after a few thousand years, standing alongside the Wolf Demigod Goldrinn, Malorne, and the others.
