Explosive Rats.
Ever since he had used Explosive Rats to hold off a horde of Gor'dok Ogres in Dire Maul, Shawn had realized just how useful these little things were. He had kept the Golem Factory busy ever since, and by now, he had stockpiled over a hundred Explosive Rats.
No choice. I'll have to use them here.
The Explosive Rats charged toward the Dragon Beasts.
They were so small that they barely drew any attention, and they gave off no mana fluctuations. The Dragon Beasts clearly saw no reason to worry about them, so they ignored the Explosive Rats and charged straight toward Shawn and the others.
Once all the Explosive Rats were beneath the Dragon Beasts' feet, Shawn barked:
"Explode!"
Boom!
All the Explosive Rats detonated at once. The violent explosions unleashed a massive shock wave that sent most of the Dragon Beasts flying, leaving Olivia and Adrian dumbstruck.
Shawn hurriedly grabbed Olivia. "What are you standing there for? Run! Those Explosive Rats can't kill the Dragon Beasts! Are you just going to stand there and wait to die?"
Only then did Olivia and Adrian snap out of their daze and hurry after Shawn.
Some of the Dragon Beasts had not been blown away and charged after them. Tommy and Eileen worked seamlessly together, wounding or even killing them with arrows and rifle shots.
The five fought as they retreated.
At this rate, the Dragon Beasts would catch up sooner or later.
Shawn was growing anxious when he suddenly noticed the thick carpet of fallen leaves on the ground, accumulated over countless years. Perhaps the weather had been dry lately, with no rain for a long time, because the leaves were extremely dry as well.
Shawn's eyes lit up.
He immediately summoned a Fire Elemental, formed a fireball
