Changing into wolf form was easy, but returning to elf form was much harder. Wild power was easy to obtain, but difficult to shake off.
Shawn struggled to rein in his agitation, slowly drawing out the wild power and replacing it with the power of nature.
Gradually, he returned to elf form, then immediately dropped to his knees, panting heavily as sweat poured down his body.
Cenarius walked over and reassured him. "Very good, Shawn. You've succeeded completely. You now have the ability to control Goldrinn's wild power. Practice a few more times and let your body adjust to changing forms, and you won't end up like this anymore."
Shawn nodded, then struggled to his feet.
The instant he arrived in this world, the Space Garrison had taken all his equipment, leaving only the Feathermoon Amulet to prove his identity. Without his equipment to bolster them, his own strength, stamina, and agility attributes were not particularly high.
After he changed into wolf form, his body transformed. His strength, stamina, and agility increased dramatically, while his intellect and spirit dropped just as sharply.
His speed, in particular.
But after he returned to Worgen Form, his strength, agility, and stamina fell somewhat, while his intellect and spirit recovered somewhat.
Switching between wolf, Worgen Form, and elf forms involved changes to both body and soul, with all five major attributes shifting dramatically. He truly needed time to adjust. Otherwise, every time Shawn changed forms, he would be unable to bring a considerable portion of his strength to bear.
"Shawn, are you leaving?" Cenarius asked.
Shawn replied respectfully, "Yes, Teacher. I have to go."
Less than half a day remained of his permitted month-long stay. Shawn needed to find a suitable place to leave, and it certainly should not be right under Cenarius's nose.
