Everything happened too suddenly. Even the vast burial chamber felt cramped once the Endless Void Holy Tower appeared. The tower easily struck the greater demon, sending Ariaden's body, which the demon was controlling, flying and knocking the demon's soul out of it.

Realizing he was in trouble and could not withstand the enormous Endless Void Holy Tower, the greater demon gritted his teeth and charged at Shawn.

He had figured it out. His best option now was to possess that Mid-Rank Mage, take over his body, and destroy his soul. Then the scythe or Long Staff in the mage's hands, along with the Mage Tower he had summoned, would all belong to him!

The greater demon's plan sounded wonderful. Reality, however, was cruel.

He knew only one thing for certain: even if the great Archimonde, The Defiler, one of the Burning Legion's leading figures, came back to life and tried to seize this Mid-Rank Mage's body, he too would appear in this strange garrison. Faced with that invisible, indescribable horror, he would bend his noble knees and be mercilessly subdued.
