But Guardian Remulos, Chromie, Broll, Ysondre, and the many druids and dryads all took action. Wave after wave of spells swept across the sky above Moon Goddess Lake, trapping large numbers of satyrs and fallen druid souls overhead and preventing their escape.
Of course, there were always exceptions.
Some of the druids and dryads broke away to hunt down the fleeing enemies.
Those enemies were too few to pose a threat.
Remulos and Broll worked together to trap Eranikus with nature magic, while Chromie did her best to maintain her time magic, forcing him to remain motionless in the sky. Ysondre stood guard nearby, blocking him with her own body whenever he tried to escape.
Taerar, Lethon, and Emeriss also brought their own powers to bear.
Far away in the Shrine of Remulos, Shawn kept a constant watch on everything happening at Moon Goddess Lake. He nodded to himself, knowing that under these circumstances, Eranikus was destined to be purified. All the satyrs would surely be killed, and the fallen druid souls would be purified as well.

It was a satyr with an enormous body. Behind him stood a shadow tree that seemed to span heaven and earth, apparently no shorter than the Elven Great Tree in Duskwood. It radiated the rotten, corrupt power of nightmare.
