Disguised as Gor'dok ogres, the five swaggered straight toward King Gordok's quarters. Along the way, they gave any lord-level ogres a wide berth, doing the same for mages and warlocks. Soon, they reached King Gordok.
This was King Gordok's Town Hall. Aside from the two elite Gordok Brute guards at the entrance, there should normally have been quite a few ogre lords inside.
Today, however, was an exception. Most of those lords were embroiled in a mass brawl over bets on the Gladiator Tournament. The remaining ogre lords had all gone to break up the fight, leaving King Gordok as the only powerhouse in the enormous Town Hall, along with Observer Krush.
Krush was a powerful two-headed ogre mage, King Gordok's chief adviser, and a self-proclaimed archmage. Of course, the Gor'dok Clan had a whole pile of self-proclaimed archmages. It was nothing but boasting. How could archmages possibly be as common as cabbages?
Even Krush was merely a High-Rank Mage, albeit a veteran one.
He was called an "observer" because he was an opportunist. He served King Gordok now, but the moment someone defeated the king, he would prostrate himself before the victor and shout, "Long live the king!"
