Amid the ruins of the Seireitei, Uryū Ishida activated Hirenkyaku, speeding above the rubble-strewn ground.

Behind him, three Reishi support straps looped around Genryūsai Yamamoto on his back, securing him firmly to Ishida's shoulders.

"Human boy, put this old man down already!" Yamamoto nagged for who knew how many times. He had only recently awakened from unconsciousness, with almost all his spiritual power gone; even his voice was exceedingly weak.

"Captain-Commander Grandpa, my name is Uryū Ishida. I'm a bona fide Quincy, not a 'human boy,'" Uryū corrected him solemnly as he raced onward.
