Green Goblin, RIP!

Several more days passed. Having acquired Osborn's research equipment, Shen Fei practically lived in the laboratory. He enjoyed the feeling of research.

"Boss, it worked."

Connors handed the solution in his hand to Shen Fei.

Just as Shen Fei had said, both the Green Goblin Solution and Lizard Serum had been developed by him.

They already had certain similarities.

With Shen Fei guiding him from the side, Connors quickly solved the issue.

"Inject Norman with it directly. There shouldn't be any problems now." Shen Fei compared the reagent with the composition he had calculated for the Reverse Green Goblin Serum.

There was no discrepancy whatsoever, and there was no need for animal testing.

They could use it on Norman directly.

During this time, he had also been studying the notes Richard had left behind.

But perhaps Richard had discovered something crucial.

This experiment only had a beginning, with none of the thought process, plans, data, or experimental records in between.

In the end, even the exact effects of the spiders he had bred were unknown.

"Richard..." Shen Fei looked at the genetic fragments inside these spiders. If these spiders could be mass-produced, he could keep experimenting with gene-editing scissors.

But these Extraordinary Spiders were already the last batch.

To breed them again would require Shen Fei to spend a great deal of time.

So he had to obtain Richard's experimental data.

"Experimental data..." Hearing Shen Fei's question, Connors shook his head. "He disappeared, but he had been gone for too long. After he was declared dead, I was the one who cleared out his laboratory.

The only things he left behind were these Extraordinary Spiders.

The rest, things like clothes and such, were sent to his home.

But there was no USB drive. Company policy prohibited this kind of data from leaving the company."

"What items did he leave behind?"

"Some clothes he wore often and a few notebooks, but none related to the Extraordinary Spiders.

And a letter for his son."

Connors thought back. Though their research directions had later diverged, they had worked together before, so he remembered Richard quite clearly.

"Let's deal with Norman first."

Shen Fei had not heard anything useful. He remembered that Richard had definitely left the key equations for the calculations to Peter, inside a briefcase.

That briefcase should already have been taken by Peter.

So it was nearly impossible for Shen Fei to obtain those critical data and formulas from him.

He needed to think of another way.

Shen Fei and Connors went down to the next level of the laboratory. Four of the most important experimental materials were imprisoned there.

Jewel, Daredevil, Green Goblin, and Lizard-Wolf Logan, who was now half-lizardized.

As for why he had been lizardized, Shen Fei had intended to see whether Logan could become a machine that naturally produced the reagent.

But it had failed.

Because he discovered that Logan's Self-Healing Factor was weakening at a very slow rate. Just as he had said, the beta version of Adamantium would damage his Self-Healing Factor.

Once it fell to a certain point, after the massive amounts of Lizard Serum that had previously been injected into Logan's body—

When his Self-Healing Factor could no longer reject the reptilian genes, that would be the moment Wolverine became an Adamantium Lizard-Wolf.

When Jessica saw Shen Fei come down, she sprang up from where she had been slumped against the wall and frantically hammered at the enclosure, but every blow was blocked.

Jessica shouted loudly.

Shen Fei glanced at her and said, "Don't rush. You'll be next soon enough."

Then he looked at Daredevil, who was sitting cross-legged on the floor. "Meditation..."

They were still searching for the chemical that had caused Daredevil's mutation. They had found some leads so far; that reagent came from the military, and his reach did not extend there yet.

Klaw was currently helping him make connections. After all, if Phoenix 1 were deployed on a battlefield, it would be a devastating weapon.

Because of the introduction of Phoenix 1, Hell's Kitchen was now practically engulfed in war every day.

Kingpin had actually sold intelligence to Jessica. Was that bastard unhappy that I brought Daredevil back?

Or had the Phoenix 1 serum interfered with his rule over Hell's Kitchen?

"His brain is all muscle. I can't be bothered arguing with him."

Daredevil's meditation had been taught to him by his master, Stick. Stick also came from a rather formidable organization, the Holy Society.

It was two sides of the same coin as The Hand. Daredevil could fully develop his gifts, and later on, he would even become a human radar capable of monitoring an entire city.

That meditation had played a major role.

But Shen Fei had yet to truly mutate Extraordinary Senses, so he naturally had no need for a Meditation Method yet.

Still, it could be added to the plan.

Finally, he looked at Green Goblin. With his head lowered, it was impossible to tell whether he was Norman or Green Goblin.

But after reviewing footage from five hundred cameras, Shen Fei had found that whenever Norman's emotions became unstable, Green Goblin would easily emerge.

Just like Hulk.

Lizard was actually the same. Since their personalities were born from them, they were inevitably influenced by them. They were not independent entities.

After being imprisoned for so long, Green Goblin had appeared far more often than Norman.

"Did you develop it, little brat?! Hahaha!"

Shen Fei opened the Vibranium cage and walked inside. Green Goblin was just about to move when Shen Fei grabbed his right hand, twisted it, and swept out with his right leg.

Green Goblin was lifted off the ground as if Shen Fei had simply picked him up.

"What are you doing... Ah!"

Shen Fei ignored Green Goblin's continued babbling. He did not care how much force he used with the syringe.

He aimed at Green Goblin's lymph node and drove the needle in.

Green Goblin immediately let out a scream. An injection was one thing, but why stab him in the neck?

With a push of the plunger—

The serum was injected.

Green Goblin immediately screamed, dropped to his knees, and twisted in agony. Veins bulged across his face as he pounded the Vibranium floor again and again from the pain.

"Let me go! Let me go!"

Green Goblin's shrill voice was full of pleading. Seeing his state, the other three could not help taking two steps back.

His lab coat was soaked through with sweat. Connors asked quietly, "Why is his reaction so intense?"

"Because he used it for too long. The Gene Infection in the serum has already reached a very high degree within his body.

Now we have to remove the negative genes affecting his mind.

Naturally, that will take some time."

Shen Fei remained calm. This reaction was still within his control, just as the length of time someone had used a drug affected the length of their withdrawal symptoms.
