Nappa, how did you lose your arm?

The ability to sense energy was something Soro had figured out on his own while he had nothing better to do.

It wasn't difficult. Once you got the hang of it, it was easy to do.

After all, Vegeta had only come to Earth once, and he'd learned how to sense energy in a very short time.

Soro hovered in midair, gazing across the wasteland. It didn't take long for him to pinpoint the source of those auras.

The corners of his mouth lifted slightly.

They couldn't have come at a better time.

This was perfect.

"Whoosh!"

Soro moved, transforming into a streak of light.

The air burst behind him in a ring of turbulence. He flew to Vegeta and Nappa at incredible speed and landed steadily a few steps away from them.

It was worth mentioning that the Saiyan battle armor he'd worn on his first trip to Atlantis Planet had grown a little small as he got older.

After that, Soro had someone make him a set of white clothes.

Wearing them, Soro looked elegant and refined, his robes fluttering gently in the breeze.

Soro's sudden appearance left Vegeta and Nappa momentarily stunned.

After all, they hadn't seen each other in more than twenty years.

Vegeta and Nappa had long since forgotten what Soro looked like.

But Soro remembered their faces clearly.

He stood there, gazing calmly at the two of them.

Soon, however, Vegeta and Nappa noticed the tail swaying slightly behind Soro.

The brown tail flicked gently behind him.

It was the most obvious sign of a Saiyan.

"A Saiyan?" Nappa paused, looking Soro up and down. "You're a Saiyan!"

"Oh?" Vegeta was a little surprised. He raised an eyebrow and looked at Soro with interest. "I didn't expect there to be any surviving Saiyans besides us."

He tilted his head.

"What's your name?"

"Soro."

Soro gave his name, a faint smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

When Soro told them his name, Vegeta and Nappa both froze for a moment.

They exchanged glances.

Just three hours ago, the two of us were talking about you.

And now you've come looking for us yourself.

That's quite a surprise.

Piccolo, Krillin, and Son Gohan grew paler and paler.

Krillin's legs felt weak, and cold sweat dripped from his forehead down the tip of his nose.

Son Gohan hid behind Piccolo, his little hands gripping Piccolo's cape tightly.

Why was another Saiyan showing up?

And from the looks of it, this Saiyan had come to help Vegeta and Nappa.

This was really bad!

"Thank goodness." Piccolo lowered his voice and let out a long breath. "His energy doesn't seem that strong. He feels weaker than Raditz."

"Really?" Krillin's eyes lit up, and he relaxed for the moment. "That's great."

But when his gaze fell on Nappa and Vegeta again, his heart clenched.

Son Gohan was so frightened that the corners of his mouth twitched and his throat tightened, as if someone were choking him.

His battle power was only 1,000, but there were three of them.

Son Gohan had thought their side had the numbers advantage, but now they had the same number of people as the other side.

"How did you find us?" Vegeta glanced sidelong at Soro, looking him up and down as though he didn't consider him worth his attention.

"Soro!" Nappa laughed heartily and stepped forward, clapping Soro on the shoulder. "You came at just the right time!"

He drew back his hand and planted it on his hip.

"That useless Raditz is dead! That Namekian killed him!"

Nappa pointed toward Piccolo in the distance, a gleeful smile on his face.

"Oh? Is that so?" Soro's lips curved slightly as he pretended to look surprised, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm giving you an order." Nappa pointed at Piccolo and commanded Soro, his tone leaving no room for argument. "Go beat that Namekian and his two companions to a pulp. If you don't obey, I won't hesitate to beat the shit out of you!"

"Battle power: 1,000." Vegeta smiled contemptuously, folding his arms across his chest and lifting his chin even higher. "A useless weakling is still a useless weakling. After all these years, your battle power has barely improved."

Soro's face darkened, and the corner of his eye twitched.

Vegeta, you sure know how to talk.

Just wait. I'll teach you a lesson in a minute.

Seeing Soro standing there with a dark expression and saying nothing, Vegeta didn't care in the slightest. He added, "Still, I suppose it's not bad. Even though you're a low-class warrior, another 500 in battle power would put you on par with Raditz, an elite warrior."

"Go on, Soro." Nappa patted Soro on the shoulder again and grinned. "I have faith in you! Don't you dare try anything funny, or you know what'll happen!"

A bright smile appeared on Soro's face.

He tilted his head, then suddenly reached out and grabbed Nappa by the wrist.

Nappa froze for a moment and looked down at the wrist in Soro's grip, but he didn't think much of it.

He assumed Soro was greeting him and trying to show his goodwill.

But the next moment, Nappa sensed something was wrong.

Soro's fingers clamped around his wrist like iron pincers, tightening their grip by the second.

Nappa's smile froze.

Soro applied a little force and gently bent Nappa's arm.

"Crack!"

With a sharp snap, Nappa's arm broke cleanly in the middle, like a yam snapped in two.

The sound of breaking bone rang especially clearly across the empty wasteland.

It happened so fast that Nappa didn't even have time to react.

He hadn't even felt the pain yet. He could only stare blankly at his arm, bent in the middle at a grotesque angle.

Nappa was still dazed when he suddenly noticed the wrist in Soro's hand—and heard that sharp snap.

At the break, white bone fragments pierced through the skin and were exposed to the air.

Then Nappa was hit by a searing pain.

"Ah..."

Nappa let out a series of piglike shrieks.

He bent over, clutching his broken arm with his other hand as his whole body trembled violently.

"Pfft..."

Blood sprayed wildly from the stump, splattering onto the ground and staining the dirt red.

Nappa's face turned deathly pale in an instant, and his lips trembled.

"What?"

Vegeta's eyes widened, his pupils contracting sharply.

He stared in disbelief at the astonishing scene, all trace of contempt wiped from his face.

Then Vegeta took a long, hard look at Soro.

This kid...

His battle power was only 1,000.

How had he ripped Nappa's arm off?

Vegeta frowned, finding it hard to believe.

His gaze swept over Soro again and again, trying to spot some kind of trick.

"Hey? Nappa." Soro put on a look of alarm, his eyes wide and his voice full of innocence. "How did you lose your arm?"

He looked down at the severed arm in his hand, then at Nappa's bleeding wound.

"How did this happen? Come on, let me put it back on for you!"

As he spoke, Soro stepped forward, held Nappa's severed arm against the stump, and forcefully shoved it in.

The broken end scraped against the wound with a sound that made his teeth ache.
