"Good, as long as you understand!"
Williams sounded pleased with Richard's reply. Richard ignored the empty remark and asked another question.
"Commander, we can hold out longer, but I'd like to know what the next operation will be."
Williams glanced at Richard and answered bluntly.
"We'll use nuclear weapons to attack PLANT's Boaz Fortress!"
After hearing that, Richard immediately understood the tactic they intended to use and asked no further questions. When Williams heard no response, he spoke again.
"Richard, is there anything else you want to ask?"
"No." Richard shook his head.
Williams reached out and ended the call.
Staring at the darkened communications screen, Richard seemed to lose much of his energy. He slumped dejectedly against the back of his chair.
After a long silence, he sighed.
"Ah..."
Meanwhile, aboard the flagship of the Earth Alliance Forces fleet on the front lines, a report came in. "Commander, we've confirmed the location of ZAFT's special MS."
Landon read his subordinate's report, then turned to Thurman and spoke respectfully. Hearing him, Thurman turned toward Landon.
"Go ahead!"
Landon nodded and reported.
"The ZAFT Forces' special MS has appeared on our left flank!"
Thurman's expression grew grave. After a brief silence, he asked.
"What's its current situation?"
"The combined firepower of our warships, MS, and Mobile Armor units has stalled its advance."
Thurman nodded, then asked calmly.
"What is he after?"
Landon considered it briefly before answering with a serious expression.
"Based on our current analysis, he's very likely coming for us."
Hearing that assessment, Thurman immediately gave an order.
"Send more forces to surround and destroy him. Don't let him get close!"
"Yes, sir!"
Landon nodded as he answered.
