After returning to her room aboard the Eternal, Lacus set Haro aside, sat at the desk, adjusted the communication channel, and placed the call.
After waiting calmly for a moment, the call was connected.
Felix's face appeared on the screen, and his gentle voice, tinged with longing, sounded through the speaker.
"Lacus."
Hearing him call her name, Lacus spoke, her voice filled with deep longing and the joy of seeing her lover.
"Felix."
Hearing his lover's call, Felix smiled gently and asked with concern in his voice.
"How are things on your end?"
With a delighted smile on her face, Lacus replied gently.
"The battle is over, and we've broken away from ZAFT's offensive."
Felix inwardly breathed a sigh of relief and replied.
"That's good."
Looking at Felix, Lacus thought of the even fiercer fighting on the moon and asked him.
"How are things on your end?"
Hearing her question, Felix smiled faintly.
"Things are going quite smoothly on my end for now."
Hearing that, Lacus looked at Felix. Unable to see his whole body, a trace of worry rose in her heart, and she instinctively blurted out.
"You weren't hurt, were you?"
In his room aboard the Athena, hearing his lover's concern and worry, Felix did not answer. He stood up and adjusted the communication camera, then stepped back and stretched as he turned in a circle to show himself off.
Seeing that Felix was safe and sound, the worry in Lacus's heart dissipated, and a smile bloomed on her face.
After completing a circle, Felix saw the smile on Lacus's face and smiled as well.
He sat back down, adjusted the camera again, and reassured Lacus.
"Lacus, don't worry. I'm fine."
Smiling slightly, Lacus said gently.
"It's good that you're all right."
Listening to Lacus's reply, Felix gazed
