Background

Felix was adopted by the Griffith family, who moved from Copernicus to PLANT. He later enlisted in ZAFT with the specific aim of preventing the destruction of Junius Seven. 3 142

In January C.E. 70, Felix entered the ZAFT Military Academy after passing its physical examination. He completed the academy curriculum in one year, graduated first in his class, and achieved the highest marks in the academy’s history. He was then assigned to Captain Hawkins’ defense and patrol unit near Junius City. 3

During the battle around Junius Seven and Eight, Felix destroyed 24 Earth Alliance Moebius units, intercepted attacks directed at the colonies, and shot down two nuclear missiles in flight. His performance earned him the Nebula Medal, promotion from Red to White, FAITH membership, and command of a newly formed unit. 12
