At that, Murrue Ramius and Mu La Flaga instantly grew serious.
Both fixed their eyes on Kira, listening intently. After a brief silence, Mu La Flaga spoke.
"Cagalli didn't tell you about the restoration operation, did she?"
Kira shook his head and answered them.
"She didn't tell me about any of that, but she did ask what I would do in her place!"
After answering, Kira looked at them and added a correction.
"Actually, I was the one who contacted Cagalli first."
Mu La Flaga and Murrue Ramius paid little attention to that correction, focusing instead on his previous answer. Murrue Ramius spoke before Mu La Flaga could ask another question.
"How did you answer Cagalli?"
Kira thought for a moment before replying.
"I said I couldn't give her an answer, that she needed to find one herself and listen to what the people wanted before making a decision."
Hearing that, Murrue Ramius and Mu La Flaga felt relieved.
Mu La Flaga rose and walked to the window. Looking out at the scenery, he sighed.
"One predator leaves, and another takes its place. Perhaps this is simply the fate Orb has to endure!"
As he spoke, Mu La Flaga turned toward Kira and Murrue Ramius, shifting the conversation.
"Actually, I think Orb was wrong from the very beginning!"
Confusion and curiosity crossed Kira's face, and he voiced his question.
"Hm?"
Mu La Flaga looked toward Kira and continued.
"When a country wants to remain neutral, there are really only two possibilities: it's either frighteningly strong or pitifully weak. Clearly, Orb chose neither path. It was neither frighteningly strong nor pitifully weak, and the result is the situation we have now."
Kira listened to his explanation and immediately objected.
"But is neutrality wrong?"
Mu La Flaga looked at Kira and returned
