Outside the room
Walking down the corridor, Miles turned to Phipps and asked in confusion.
"Phipps, what do you think the captain is planning?"
"I don't know!"
Phipps shook his head as he replied.
Turning to Miles, he continued.
"Right now, all we can do is take things one step at a time!" At this point, Phipps changed the subject. "But one thing I can be certain of is that the captain will not harm us, much less damage PLANT's interests!"
"I feel the same way."
Miles nodded in agreement.
After that, Miles and Phipps did not continue their conversation. They silently walked down the corridor toward the hangar, where they boarded a shuttle back to the warship they belonged to.
Two days later
While carrying out patrol and guard duty with his squad near Yakin Due, Felix received a communication from Yalik.
"What is it?"
Felix asked as he connected the call.
Yalik reported over the communication.
"Captain, the chairman just called!"
"What is it?" Felix asked.
"He wants you to return to PLANT immediately and report to the Ministry of Defense!" Yalik continued in his booming voice.
"Alright, understood."
Felix replied calmly and ended the communication with Yalik. After explaining the patrol arrangements to the others and making sure everything was in order, he checked Dawn's energy reserves before piloting Dawn straight back to the homeland.
PLANT
District One, Aprilia City
After confirming his information with the forces guarding the area near the homeland, Felix piloted Dawn into the spaceport.
Passing through the passageway, Dawn docked in a hangar within the spaceport.
"I'll leave it to you."
Felix handed his helmet to the Maintenance Crew, said a word, and floated out of the hangar.
Leaving the hangar, he headed for the elevators, preparing to take one into
