Diana is the daughter of Mayor Logan Gustav. Her mother was killed while shielding Logan from a gunshot during a political rally six years earlier; Diana witnessed the aftermath from the crowd. The loss shaped her wish to become strong enough to protect her father and others. 40

She had long been fascinated by mysteries and ancient lore, including an earlier attempt to investigate supposed supernatural bells in an old attic. While studying Ancient Language, she discovered the Book of Rituals in her school’s archives and secretly took it home to translate. Reading its invocation to the “Lord of All Spirits” unintentionally summoned Ivan. 18

Diana had apparently prayed to Ivan before their direct meeting, producing a faint thread of faith energy that drew his attention. When Ivan answered her ritual, she directly requested extraordinary abilities, but carefully negotiated his demand for devotion, translation work, and donations to the Holy Spirit Society. 29 30
