Genya persuaded Tsunade to consider leading Konoha Hospital and promised to protect Kaguya Chokū from Kirigakure, while Orochimaru and Sasori clashed in the Land of Wind. Asuma sought power for revenge, and Genya arrived at the Ninja Academy opening ceremony, where a young Naruto greeted him.

• Genya massaged Tsunade and suggested she settle in Konoha as director of its hospital, and she considered the offer.
