The week hadn't been long, but everyone present had been away from the village for a long time. Uchiha Chonhua told them about what had been happening in the village and shared some amusing stories.
At the same time, Uchiha Chonhua took an elegantly wrapped box from his luggage and handed it to Nawaki.
Nawaki took it in confusion. "What's this?"
"It's only been a little while, Nawaki. Have you already forgotten?" Uchiha Chonhua said with an amused smile and a shake of his head. "Open it and see. It's from that place you like going to."
"That place I like going to... Ah!" Nawaki suddenly cried out. He hurriedly opened the box, his eyes lighting up at what he saw inside.
"Rice dumplings! That's right, before you went back, I said I wanted you to bring me some."
Nawaki said, a little moved, "I didn't think you'd remember."
Uchiha Chonhua was speechless. He poked Nawaki without much patience and said, "What kind of person do you take me for, Nawaki? That really hurts. I even waited in line for ages."
—Though having Kushina there with him had kept him from getting bored.
Uchiha Chonhua clutched at his heart, acting as if he were about to collapse.
Nawaki let out a few cries and hurriedly apologized. What he'd said really had been inconsiderate.
Uchiha Mikoto, Namikaze Minato, and the others watched them with amusement.
"Besides the rice dumplings, I bought some other food that'll keep for a while."
Uchiha Chonhua shared out the food, then glanced at Nawaki and said, "Nawaki, hurry up and eat the rice dumplings. I didn't expect the trip to take three days. They might've gone bad..."
"Yeah, if they really have gone bad, you should throw them out."
Nawaki took a bite and tried one.
