"Let's go. We should head over—don't keep Sonoko waiting too long."
Chen took Ran Mouri's hand and said this. He knew Sonoko's personality well; if they kept her waiting too long, she would probably come looking for them herself.
So they had better hurry over.
"Mm." Ran nodded and followed Chen downstairs. Then Chen led her toward Sonoko's home.
Chen was no stranger to Sonoko's house. He had been there before and knew exactly where it was, so Ran did not need to show him the way.
Before long, Chen brought Ran to Sonoko's grand villa. It was indeed enormous, but to a behemoth like the Suzuki Foundation, it was really nothing special.
"You finally made it! I was going crazy waiting for you."
Before Chen and Ran could even go inside, Sonoko rushed out impatiently to greet them.
"We got here plenty fast. You're just too impatient. Look at what time it is," Chen said, unable to help responding to Sonoko's complaint.
Sonoko pulled Chen and Ran into the house. As expected of Sonoko's home, it was truly huge.
Not only was it spacious, but it was also incredibly luxurious. The various decorations looked extravagantly expensive.
But with the Suzuki Foundation's wealth, such things were nothing more than pocket change.
"Sonoko, are you the only one here? Where are the usual servants?" Chen asked curiously.
"It's the weekend. As long as they finish their work, they can take time off, so they're all on leave," Sonoko said with a smile.
"But I'm not the only one here today. My sister, Ayako Suzuki, is home too. Aren't you happy?"
Sonoko teased Chen.
"Uh, why would I be happy that your sister is home? Are you misunderstanding something?"
