"Eri, I'm telling you, I'm stronger than you. You'd better not make a move."
Yukiko Kudo gestured at Eri Kisaki.
"Then let's see what you've got."
Eri Kisaki showed no fear as she reached out to grab Yukiko.
Quick on her feet, Yukiko flung open the window just as Eri was about to grab her and jumped down from the second floor. Though it was the second floor, she was completely unharmed.
"Uh, Yukiko?" Ran Mouri stared in surprise at Yukiko, who had seemingly fallen from the sky, unsure what expression to make.
"Can't be helped. Your mother's trying to kill me. No time to talk—I'm making a run for it." Yukiko said this to Ran before swiftly fleeing.
After Yukiko ran off, Eri also jumped down from the second floor. She had cultivated chakra too, so jumping from the second floor posed no problem for her.
"Mom, you too?" Ran looked speechlessly at her mother, who had jumped down from upstairs. She truly did not know what to say.
"I'm going after Yukiko." Eri had no time to say anything to Ran, nor did she have the nerve to face her.
After all, she and Yukiko had both been eavesdropping upstairs earlier. Naturally, she was too embarrassed to speak to Ran now. Besides, she needed to chase Yukiko, or she would get away.
Watching her mother hurry off, Ran's face turned red. She had now realized that her mother must have heard her conversation with Chen earlier.
"It's over. Mom seems to have heard what we were talking about." Ran covered her face as she spoke to Chen.
Chen looked at Ran with slight exasperation. So what if she had heard? Was Ran being overly sensitive?
She had indeed heard them, but they had not been discussing anything shameful.
