"Fine, I give up. I'm not learning magic anymore." Kazuha had given up; it was simply too difficult.
Kazuha now admired Akako immensely. She had no idea how Akako had learned magic. Kazuha had studied it for so long, yet still could not make sense of it.
"Ran, you should learn ninjutsu with me too," Kazuha said to Ran.
"Ah, okay." Ran nodded at Kazuha in a daze.
"Chen probably hasn't told you, but ninjutsu isn't the kind of ninjutsu you imagine it to be. Anyway, it's very special. Don't be too surprised when the time comes."
Kazuha spoke to the still-dazed Ran, who looked at her in confusion.
Outside in the courtyard, Ran stared at Chen with a resentful gaze, making him particularly uncomfortable.
Standing beside them, Kazuha secretly chuckled twice, looking thoroughly pleased by his misfortune, which irritated Chen.
"What are you laughing at?" Chen asked Kazuha.
"Was I laughing? I wasn't laughing. I definitely wasn't laughing." Kazuha hurriedly moved away, then hid off to one side to watch the show.
