Although he lacked chakra, the basic recovery capabilities of the Sage Body were still at his disposal.
Even with the Tenseigan, if one does not put in the effort, everything is ultimately in vain.
Chapter 2: System Awakening
There wasn't a single cloud in the sky, and a scorching sun hung overhead. Without a breath of wind, every tree stood listlessly, appearing lazy and wilted.
Hyuga Shin was drenched in sweat. Given his young age, he had already reached his limit after doing one hundred push-ups.
Yet, this was already monstrous. Before he transmigrated, he wouldn't have been able to do that many, let alone now that Hyuga Shin was only three years old.
Lying flat on the ground, Hyuga Shin gasped for air, a bitter smile appearing on his face as he realized he simply couldn't go on.
"It seems my willpower is still too lacking." Supporting his aching body, Hyuga Shin sat up.
At this moment, Hyuga Shin felt a special admiration for Might Duy, Might Guy, and Rock Lee. If it came to talent, Hyuga Shin was currently in the heavens while they were in the dirt.
But when it came to willpower, they were in the heavens, and Hyuga Shin had yet to even reach the ground.
After catching his breath, Hyuga Shin stood up and began practicing his kicks and punches.
Although Hyuga Shin desperately wanted to rest, the thought of the world-ending bosses he would face in the future forced him to continue his training.
He possessed the Sage Body and didn't have to worry about lingering hidden injuries; if he were to slack off now, he would be doing a disservice to his own talent.
He trained until late afternoon, stopping only when dusk approached, panting heavily as he pulled out a canteen to take a few gulps of water.
He then took out some food. Because he was part of the Hyuga Clan, even though his parents were dead and he wasn't well-regarded within the clan, he still had plenty of money, so the meal Hyuga Shin brought out was quite sumptuous.
Hyuga Shin's father had died in an accident while on a mission when Hyuga Shin was only a year old.
His mother had died during childbirth, leaving Hyuga Shin an orphan.
However, the pension and the clan's subsidies were substantial; this was the benefit of belonging to a major clan.
Regardless of whether Hyuga Shin was a "waste," for the sake of the Hyuga Clan's reputation, they could not treat him poorly in terms of material needs.
Otherwise, it wouldn't be Hyuga Shin who was laughed at, but the Hyuga Clan itself.
After a satisfying meal, Hyuga Shin regained his vitality.
It was at this moment that Hyuga Shin truly experienced the monstrous nature of the Sage Body; although his fatigue hadn't fully vanished, he had recovered seven or eight-tenths of his strength.
Hyuga Shin stood up, full of spirit, and began walking toward home. The sun was about to set, and he knew that he couldn't train indefinitely—he understood that too much of a good thing could be counterproductive.
Back home, Hyuga Shin took a comfortable hot bath, feeling every cell in his body pulsing with activity.
At this moment, Hyuga Shin felt an intense longing for the Chakra Refinement Technique. Although children of major clans usually waited until they were four to start training to avoid self-injury, Hyuga Shin was different.
Possessing the Sage Body, his vitality and constitution were incredibly strong, allowing him to refine chakra right now.
His father had been a Jonin, and Hyuga Shin had hoped he would have left behind a Chakra Refinement Technique, but after searching the entire house, he found nothing, leaving him deeply disappointed.
In the blink of an eye, the sky darkened. A crescent moon hung in the night sky, and the stars twinkled across the heavens.
Hyuga Shin looked up, filled with infinite emotion. He never expected that one day, he would transmigrate into a two-dimensional world.
"Perhaps this isn't so bad!" A smile curled at the corners of Hyuga Shin's mouth.
Back on Earth, he had been an orphan with no attachments, save for a few friends he knew through work.
Calling them friends was a stretch; the relationship was superficial at best. It was good enough that they wouldn't stab you in the back.
"Compared to Earth, the environment here is truly better. At least I can see the stars filling the sky."
After a sigh of emotion, Hyuga Shin looked at the crescent moon in the night sky. Who would know that on the moon, visible to everyone, the progenitor of chakra, Kaguya Otsutsuki, was sealed away?
[System update complete...]
A mechanical voice echoed in Hyuga Shin's mind, causing him to freeze for a moment before his face lit up with excitement.
The system had finally awakened!
"System, are you there?" Hyuga Shin asked in his heart.
After a long while, there was still no response. Hyuga Shin was bewildered. What was going on? Had it just popped up only to vanish again?
With a look of trepidation, Hyuga Shin shouted, "Open system panel!"
A light screen, visible only to Hyuga Shin, floated before him, causing him to let out a sharp sigh of relief.
He then complained, "System, why didn't you answer me?"
The system remained silent, as if it hadn't heard Hyuga Shin's question at all.
"Fine! My system is a mute system." After grumbling, Hyuga Shin looked at the system panel with delight.
The system panel was very simple: a lottery, a shop, and an inventory. There wasn't even a mission panel.
The system was cold and unresponsive, so Hyuga Shin had to figure things out on his own. First, he opened the shop.
Upon clicking the shop, the words "All-encompassing, containing everything" appeared before his eyes.
The list of items below dazzled Hyuga Shin. Looking at various items capable of easily destroying the world, he couldn't help but drool.
But when he looked at the prices, Hyuga Shin wore a bitter smile. Seeing that string of numbers made his head spin.
Then, looking at the exchange points in his hand, Hyuga Shin suddenly froze. What was he seeing? He actually had thirty thousand exchange points.
A string of question marks flashed through Hyuga Shin's mind; where had these 30,000 exchange points come from? Could it be a system reward?
However, having exchange points was a good thing, so Hyuga Shin swiped across the panel, looking for items to enhance his strength.
But even after swiping until his hand grew sore, he still only saw items priced in the eight or nine-digit range. Although Hyuga Shin coveted them, he couldn't afford them.
"System, help me list the items I can actually afford."
Unable to hold back any longer, Hyuga Shin shouted at the system that had remained silent all this time.
Hyuga Shin had already prepared himself for the system to ignore him, but to his surprise, it actually complied.
Items priced above 30,000 disappeared, leaving behind only those that cost exactly 30,000 or less.
Hyuga Shin scanned the list and frowned; there were still too many things, ranging from sci-fi laser cannons and fantasy cultivation techniques and pills, to flying swords from xianxia worlds.
He was currently in the Naruto world, so he might not even be able to use these things, and besides, Hyuga Shin didn't think much of them—anything costing only 30,000 was naturally trash.
Look at that flying sword, rusted and seemingly on the verge of falling apart, and that technique, Crushing Stone Fist—could you get any more pathetic?
