"Hmm! Thank you, Shin." Mikoto managed a forced smile.

"If you leave the Uchiha Clan, Mikoto, you can come to my place! My house is quite large anyway, and it's rather lonely with just me there," Hyuga Shin said with a smile, his eyes showing a hint of anticipation.

Mikoto blushed. She truly had no idea where else she could go and was feeling quite lost, so she didn't refuse Hyuga Shin's suggestion.

I never expected that guy Fugaku Uchiha to give me an assist. Should I thank him? If I see him again, I'll just give him another kick as a token of my gratitude, Hyuga Shin thought to himself.

"Hyuga Shin, you just wait! Our Uchiha Clan will absolutely not let you off!"

Fugaku Uchiha's lackey helped him up and shouted aggressively.

"What is going on here?"

Just as the words left his mouth, their teacher, Ueno Juri, arrived, looking at the member of the Uchiha Clan with a cold expression.

"So, you are the one threatening my student?"

After speaking, a surge of killing intent erupted from him, instantly enveloping the group. Ueno Juri was a Chunin, after all; he had seen blood and taken lives, so he naturally possessed a murderous aura.

In an instant, they were trembling in fear.

"It, it was Hyuga Shin! He, he was the one who injured our clan leader first," one of the Uchiha Clan extras stammered.

Upon hearing this, Ueno Juri first glared at Hyuga Shin, then said sternly, "I will naturally punish him for that, but you dared to openly threaten my student—do you have no respect for me?"

"And another thing, who cast this ninjutsu? How dare you use ninjutsu at the academy!" Ueno Juri pointed at the charred hole, sensing the lingering chakra, his face full of rage.

"Teacher, it was Fugaku Uchiha who cast it, and he almost killed Hiashi," Nawaki said quickly.

"Very well! I will report this matter to the Hokage and let him handle it," Ueno Juri said coldly.

"You little brats, get back to class immediately! You never give me a moment of peace."

After roaring at Hyuga Shin and the others, Ueno Juri went to check on Fugaku Uchiha's injuries; only by knowing the exact situation could he protect his own student.

If Fugaku Uchiha had died, there would be no way to shield Hyuga Shin, no matter how much he wanted to. Fortunately, after an examination, he found that Fugaku Uchiha was only seriously injured and his life was not in danger.

After sending Fugaku Uchiha to Konoha Hospital, Ueno Juri headed to the Hokage Building to report to Sarutobi Hiruzen.

Although he didn't yet know the full sequence of events, Ueno Juri directly reported that Fugaku Uchiha had used ninjutsu at the academy and nearly killed his student.

After reporting to the Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, Ueno Juri hurried back, intending to get to the bottom of the situation.

"What exactly happened? Minato, you tell me." Upon returning to the classroom, Ueno Juri asked Minato to explain the sequence of events.

As for why he chose Minato, it was naturally because Minato was more reliable; if it had been anyone else, Ueno Juri would have doubted the truth of their account.

As the good student he was, Minato Namikaze faced Ueno Juri's inquiry and recounted the entire story from beginning to end.

"Hyuga Hiashi, stand up!" Ueno Juri roared.

"Getting cocky, are we? Do you have no idea what your own strength is? You think because you're a first-year, you can take on a fifth-year student who is about to graduate?"

Ueno Juri's harsh scolding left Hyuga Hiashi feeling extremely aggrieved, yet he had no way to retort.

"I know you care about the honor of your clan, but if you act this brainlessly again, you won't be inheriting any clan honor—you'll just end up dead at the hands of an enemy."

"That is all the teacher can say. Reflect on yourself properly!"

Ueno Juri waved his hand, signaling for Hyuga Hiashi to sit down.

He then turned his gaze toward Hyuga Shin: "What are you smiling at? Do you think you look very impressive?"

"Kicking a fifth-year student until he was nearly dead—you think that's something to be proud of? But have you thought about the consequences? If something had happened to Fugaku Uchiha today, no one could have protected you," Ueno Juri bellowed.

Hyuga Shin kept his head down and said nothing, though he felt no resentment.

The current Ueno Juri reminded Hyuga Shin of his homeroom teacher from his student days before he transmigrated; their tone of voice and way of doing things were remarkably similar.

"I don't want to say much more, as I know you won't listen anyway. I just want you to think about the consequences before you act in the future."

With a sigh, Ueno Juri put the matter aside for the moment and began the lesson.

The topic was still chakra refinement. Hyuga Shin, naturally, had no interest in it, so he slumped over his desk and began compressing his chakra.

Because of his lack of experience, he now had to spend a great deal of time improving the quality of his chakra.

Hyuga Shin estimated that it would take at least another half a year to fully compress the chakra within his body.

By then, Hyuga Shin's Kage-level chakra would shrink by dozens, or even a hundred times, likely leaving him at the level of a Jonin or an Elite Jonin.

However, his combat effectiveness would not decrease; on the contrary, it would increase significantly.

The morning passed just like that. When class ended at noon, Ueno Juri paused and said, "Hyuga Shin, come with me. I have something to discuss with you."

"Shin!" Mikoto looked at Hyuga Shin with concern.

Hyuga Shin shrugged, gave Mikoto a reassuring look, and followed Ueno Juri out.

Chapter 28: Uchiha Clan Leader

Following Ueno Juri into the office, Hyuga Shin asked with a smile, "I wonder what you wanted to see me about, Teacher?"

"You're still smiling?" Ueno Juri was so angry he laughed.

"I don't want to pursue who was right or wrong in today's incident, but I must warn you: you left Fugaku Uchiha seriously injured today, and the Uchiha Clan will not let this matter go so easily."

"So, be careful. Although the Uchiha Clan won't go too far within Konoha, remember that they control the Konoha Military Police Force. If they catch you in a mistake, even I won't be able to help you."

Ueno Juri reminded Hyuga Shin.

"I understand, thank you for the reminder, Sensei." Hyuga Shin thanked Ueno Juri solemnly. He knew full well who treated him with kindness.

"Sigh!" Ueno Juri let out a sigh. "I have no power or influence, just a lowly teacher who cannot be of much help. There is no need to thank me; this is merely what a teacher should do."

"If there is nothing else, I shall take my leave."

"Go on then!" Ueno Juri waved his hand.

Hyuga Shin nodded, then walked out, closing the door behind him.

Upon returning to the classroom, Nawaki, Inoichi, and the others gathered around and asked, "What did Ueno-sensei want with you? Surely he isn't going to punish you, is he?"

"It was nothing, just a warning to be careful of the Uchiha Clan," Hyuga Shin said with a smile, appearing unconcerned.

"Shin! You really should be careful. The Uchiha Clan controls the Military Police Force and has always been incredibly overbearing. It would be all too easy for them to pin a crime on you," Shikaku warned.

"Hmph! Hyuga Shin belongs to our Hyuga Clan. If the Uchiha Clan wants to touch him, they will have to see if our Hyuga Clan agrees to it first," Hyuga Hiashi said with a cold snort.
