Chapter 6: Meeting the Sannin in Their Youth

Hyuga Shin rested in bed all morning before finally recovering. His body had actually recovered long ago; it was just taking a little longer for his energy to return.

At noon, Hyuga Shin didn't cook. Instead, he went out for barbecue, then headed back to the training ground behind the village.

"Now that I have chakra, it's time to show off the Tenseigan's power."

The training ground was deserted, so Hyuga Shin could use his abilities without worrying about anyone seeing him.

Sarutobi Hiruzen had the Telescope Technique, but would he really bother keeping an eye on the training ground behind the village? The Hokage couldn't possibly have that much free time.

"Banshō Ten'in!"

Hyuga Shin shouted, then seized a small stone in the distance with his hand.

Looking at the pebble in his palm, Hyuga Shin felt a little awkward. He tossed it aside and sat down. At least nobody saw that. That was so damn embarrassing.

Feeling that he'd used up a tenth of his chakra, Hyuga Shin gave a bitter smile. This chakra really doesn't go far!

Still, using an S-rank technique to produce a D-rank effect was unprecedented—and would probably never be repeated.

Strictly speaking, it only worked like Banshō Ten'in. It wasn't actually Banshō Ten'in; it was simply the Tenseigan's ability to manipulate gravity.

"Looks like it's too early for me to use the Tenseigan. It doesn't have any real power yet," Hyuga Shin said helplessly.

Even if he used up all his chakra, he could only manage the power of a C-rank ninjutsu. He might as well use an actual C-rank technique!

With the Great Fireball Technique, Hyuga Shin reckoned he could manage three uses.

Hyuga Shin stood up and fixed his gaze on the space ahead. "Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique!"

He formed four hand seals in a second. A little over a second later, he spat out a massive fireball that slammed into a tree.

The tree, thick enough for a person to wrap their arms around, snapped in two in an instant and burst into roaring flames. Hyuga Shin was amazed by its power.

It couldn't compare to the kind of ninjutsu that could level an entire village in one blow, but this was the first time Hyuga Shin had truly seen the power of ninjutsu for himself.

Watching it in an anime wasn't the same as seeing it with your own eyes.

Next, Hyuga Shin put out the fire and began practicing shape transformation and nature transformation.

Shape transformation was easy to master. Hyuga Shin knew the Rasengan, so he had it down in no time.

Nature transformation meant adding an element to chakra. For example, the Great Fireball Technique Hyuga Shin had just used involved adding the nature transformation of fire.

Combining the nature transformations of two elements could produce a Kekkei Genkai, but very few people in the entire Ninja World could actually do that.

Nature transformation was also easy for him to control. After all, Hyuga Shin possessed every chakra nature, and the system had improved his talent. That was a major advantage.

After that, Hyuga Shin began practicing chakra control, starting with tree climbing and Water Walking.

There was a small stream in the training ground behind the village, perfect for practicing Water Walking.

Using the body-conditioning methods unique to the Six Powers, Hyuga Shin began training. Every drop of sweat brought its reward.

While everyone else was still happily playing ninja games, Hyuga Shin was already sweating through his training.

He wasn't jealous of other people having fun. He worked so hard now so he could have a better life in the future.

Don't assume Hyuga Shin had it easy just because he had a system cheat. Compared with Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke, the two walking cheats, he really couldn't measure up.

By the end of the Naruto series, they were only seventeen, yet they had the strength of the Six Paths. How could anyone compete with that?

Hyuga Shin felt that even with his cheat, he might not become a Six Paths Level powerhouse before turning seventeen. Still, he might be able to fight one on even terms.

Time flowed like water, never to return. In the blink of an eye, a year had passed.

Today, Hyuga Shin took a rare break from training and went to Konoha's busiest street to feast and celebrate.

The day before, his chakra had reached Jonin level. His other overall attributes—his physique and the purity of his chakra—had also reached Chunin level.

Hyuga Shin didn't know what the Naruto world used to classify strength, but he guessed it was based on chakra purity.

Even so, he was now a Chunin.

A four-year-old Chunin—Hyuga Shin was far more impressive than Kakashi, who had become a Chunin at six. Of course, if Hyuga Shin, with his cheat, couldn't even match Kakashi, he might as well give up and bang his head against a block of tofu.

Although Hyuga Shin was a Chunin, he could easily beat Jonin. For one thing, now that his physique had caught up, he could use the Six Powers.

He could also easily use the Tenseigan's abilities to control puppets, extract chakra, read other people's memories, and manipulate repulsion and attraction.

Although Hyuga Shin hadn't tested it, he figured he could repel an A-rank ninjutsu without a problem. Knocking away a Jonin would be even easier.

Most important of all was the Glint-Glint Fruit. Hyuga Shin could now partially transform his body into light, and he could use Laser too, though its power was still a little weak.

But Laser was fast. Thanks to its unexpected speed, even Kage Level powerhouses might get caught off guard.

As Hyuga Shin walked along, he suddenly spotted three familiar figures.

"So these are the Sannin in their youth? Tsunade's milky tank isn't that big yet," Hyuga Shin muttered.

"Hey, brat! What are you looking at?" Tsunade was already an elite Jonin, and she was very sensitive to other people's gazes.

Hyuga Shin had been staring at Tsunade's chest, so she'd naturally noticed. If she hadn't realized he was a child, the hot-tempered Tsunade would have gone over and beaten him up.

"Nothing." Hyuga Shin curled his lip in disdain and turned to leave.

"Hahahaha! The brat thinks your boobs are small," Jiraiya said, asking for trouble.
