"Hmm, aren't you going to go take a look?" Shin asked Vermouth.

Vermouth gave Shin a strange look. He seemed to know about her relationship with Yukiko, but how had he found out?

Vermouth had never told anyone that she knew Yukiko Kudo.

"How did you know?" Vermouth could not suppress her curiosity any longer and asked Shin.

"To me, no secret is truly a secret. The only difference is whether I want to know it."

"Yukiko and I do know each other, but Sharon is dead now, so we've become strangers."

Sharon was her true identity, but in the eyes of the outside world, Sharon was already dead.

"You could still meet her as Chris Vineyard," Shin said, stroking Vermouth's silky hair.

Chris Vineyard was Sharon Vineyard's daughter, but both identities were actually Vermouth herself. She played two roles alone, yet no one outside could see through it.

"What are you two talking about?" Miwako Sato walked over and asked.

"Nothing."

Miwako frowned slightly. She always felt that they were hiding something from her, and that feeling made her uncomfortable.

"Tomorrow's the weekend. Are you still working, Miwako?" Shin asked.

Miwako nodded. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department rarely had days off. At most, they got one day of leave per week, and if there was an urgent assignment, even that day off would be gone.

It could not be helped. Being a police officer was just that hard.
