Perfect timing—Conan began searching for clues. He also knew that the robbers responsible for the heist were all dead, and Masami Hirota would most likely be next.
Conan had already deduced that Masami Hirota was one of the robbers. He had also figured out that someone wanted to kill her.
After looking around, Conan spotted a strange outlet, as though it had been deliberately hidden. He walked over and opened it, causing a string of keys to fall out.
"Are these keys for rental safe-deposit boxes? Maybe the stolen one billion yen is here."
Just as Conan was about to stand up, Akemi Miyano struck Conan Edogawa on the neck with a hand chop.
Conan fell to the ground, and the keys dropped as well. Akemi Miyano picked them up.
She glanced at Conan, then turned and headed outside.
"You can't leave, Masami Hirota. If you go, you'll be killed." Conan sat up, clutching the back of his neck.
Since Masami Hirota knew her strength had greatly increased and did not want to hurt anyone, she had held back.
However, she still had no precise grasp of her strength, so she had used too little force and failed to knock Conan out.
"Thank you, Conan, but I'm sorry. I have no other choice." Akemi Miyano looked back at him before leaving.
"Wait." Conan stood up and wanted to chase after her, but the pain shooting through his neck made him freeze.
By the time Conan came outside, Akemi Miyano had already gotten into the car. Fortunately, Conan seized the chance to fire a tracker onto the car with his slingshot, where it stuck fast.
"Alright, now I'll chase after her." Conan activated his tracking glasses and grabbed his skateboard.
Conan really wasn't afraid of death as he chased after her
