"Hey, why didn't you ask me?" Akako Koizumi looked rather displeased.
"Are you going too?" Sonoko Suzuki looked reluctant.
"Forget it. I can go without needing your invitation." Akako Koizumi shook her head. Getting there would be easy enough for her.
"I was just kidding. Of course I'll invite you when the time comes." Sonoko grinned.
Sonoko and Akako Koizumi had a fairly good relationship now. They were not close friends, but they could at least be called friends.
"Shin, why are you lying down to sleep?" Ran Mouri gave Shin a push. The teacher would be here soon, and it would not be good if the teacher saw him.
"Doesn't seem like there's anything worth listening to." Shin raised his head and smiled at Ran. "Why don't you sleep with me too, Ran?"
Ran gently shook her head. She was different from Shin—she was a serious, model student, ranked first in the entire grade.

"No, I think they're quite interesting. You can learn a lot from them."
"I think they're boring. Chatting is much more interesting." Sonoko glanced toward the podium and, seeing that the teacher had not arrived yet, immediately leaned close to Shin and spoke in a low voice.
Sonoko was also someone who disliked studying. If her parents had not forced her to attend school, she would not have wanted to come at all!
